Stop kicking people for being Survival/Feral/Enhancement, for real

First, I get it, their group their rules.

However, just doing m0 these past few weeks, I get kicked from an average of 3 groups before we start, just for being Survival.

Not every one gives the reasoning, but over half will outright whisper me something to the tune of “Play a good spec, noob”

My friend is Feral and has the same thing happen to him.

Yes, Balance and Marksman do more damage than them, but I don’t see people kicking Arcane/Frost mages because Fire does more or Demonology/Destruction locks because Affliction does more.

It’s almost entirely Survival, Feral, and Enhancement that experience this constantly. Yes, it will happen to other specs occasionally but not nearly as much as these 3.

I also understand they bring zero utility to groups. This is something that Blizzard needs to address. It was suggested on the beta forums that they bring back the 5% crit raid buff and give it to them. It’d be no different than how groups are forced to bring a DH for magic damage debuff, monk for physical damage, mage for intellect, priest for stamina, or warrior for attack. Just this way they’d be giving people a choice of 3 different classes.

People need to understand unless you are pushing things like Mythic Raids or high M+ dungeons, every spec is completely viable.

If people are kicking Enhance players, they are just shooting themselves in the foot. Especially those of us using Venthyr.

Our DPS is AMAZING in dungeons right now.

Had a guildie complaining about it.

Feral dps is great right now too.

Survival is above Beast Mastery, but people still bring BM hunters no problem.

I haven’t experienced this yet. Is your ilvl low at all? (Can’t see your profile). We’re viable for M+ pushing and mythic raiding, I say this based on doing it myself in the past (and slowly building io up now).

Don’t let these people dissuade you from enjoying a fun spec. I’ve managed to get at least 5 people to check out survival after they see the #s. That is, people asking me how I like it and telling me they’re gonna check it out! Be a part of the solution as well!!

It’s 180 or 181. Perfectly acceptable for m0.

I’ve been making my own M0 groups on my Survival Hunter. It may take a bit to fill them, but I managed all four this past week for the weekly.

I’m enjoying the spec, just need better gear.

Hell I did m0 when I was in the 170’s

Well, if you are upset you could be spiteful and whisper them back “Sorry you suck so bad you need a BM/MM to carry you through M0.”

Or take the moral high ground. The plain, bland, boring moral high ground.

the game keeps giving me mastery gear Q.Q RIP my dps. WTB haste, will do anything

I don’t like making groups. I always somehow end up choosing tanks that can’t hold aggro lol.

I ended up crafting the Serpentstalker’s Trickery legendary for Marksman, to get my weekly dungeons done.

Feels bad being forced to play a spec I don’t like because others deem my spec kick worthy.

You’re not too low, that’s for sure. Just keep in mind the competition might be a bit higher. I’m at 198, still able to get upgrades from even a +2 in some cases. Keep trying! 10 rejections and a group acceptance is still a group acceptance! (And I still get rejections along the way)

I normally just ignore it. Or if they’re especially rude, like CoC breaking rude, I’ll report their language out of spite. Lol.

Oh, no, I don’t mind people who don’t invite me because they have higher DPS applying.

These are groups that have already invited me, the group has been delisted, and I either get to the dungeon only to be kicked, or they inspect me and I get kicked.

The irony being that right now, for raw DPS Survival is theoretically better than BM. BM’s only saving grace being range and mobility.

The real irony is the fact in dungeons, survival is arguably better than MM and BM because Survival’s main AoE is uncapped. It helps a ton in places like De Other Side where there’s groups with more than 5 targets.

That’s the risk you run with pugs; bad players. Honestly I would recommend getting a small group of friends. Pugging will always be the more toxic side of WoW, and you’re bound by their rules no matter how good a player you are. It’s unfortunate but it is what it is now, I just don’t see it changing. Even if Survival was the top hunter spec, you’ll get the people who hold the stigma.

Yeah I had to go hunt down a spread sheet to find out which dungeons drop Haste/Vers gear. I could really use more of both. I’m already at 40% Mastery.

I run with my guild when our times match up. Most of the time they’re looking for DPS, I’m busy with the slog of World Quests because Blizzard’s terrible anima design.

I’ve snuck in a few with themn the past couple weeks though.

Gata do some pvp or just farm the dungeons that drop vers. I was almost at 40 mastery whe I said f it and started to farm bgs for 187 gear. I’ll farm the dungeons more but I just needed some vers.

Players on Latin American servers have it even worse than that. They get kicked no matter what their ilevel or class is.

If they’re looking, I’d always recommend dungeons over WQs. The anima stuff is optional, and you have all expansion to work on them.

I’m maintaining two characters right now and really only go after the 250 WQs when they pop up.
