Is it feedback if they never read it?

The devs would never visit this place. And even if they did their egos are too massive to influence. They only ask other people with massive egos (multiple R1s) for advice on discord.
This forum is purely for discussion about the game for players.

I wish there was proof to it. Screenshots/voice recordings. They might just pick their a$$ back off the bench and do something in pure fear or embarrassment. Maybe not though, maybe they let it ride. Maybe they just try to continue to push the competitive scene out a little more at a time.
I submit feedback, they tell me they won’t contact me about it and nothing changes so they either don’t read it or don’t care / want to make changes.
I submit bug reports and the bugs take months to fix or are still outstanding.
They also never respond in these PvP forums and I doubt they ever read it, many issue and opinions are discussed and lots of valuable feedback to be learn if they bothered to sort through all the rubbish.
Customer service forum is also useless as all you get is community hall monitors providing zero value and if you say the slightest in negative feedback your post gets reported and taken down
Just because they aren’t using it now doesn’t mean they wont a month into the Xpack releasing. Until they say don’t give feedback GIVE FEEDBACK.
For context I saw and interview with a league developer recently who said on the first day of a new season more games are played in the first day than they can get in an entire Beta testing cycle X100. So still give your feedback always give them feedback flood them with feedback.
idk people got the glad mount recolored.
VW got a slap on the wrist.
Like 99% of the “feedback” contradicts each other.
Verdant season got an mmr boost after a mob took over wow twitch chat. They listen when there is an overwhelming amount of feedback on a single issue smacking them in the face.
won’t let me link it, but the clip is called “PvP is cooked, move on.”
Ven also made a video about it
I think this is the hardest thing about it. Wow has SUCH a varied playerbase that for every change one person would like, two more don’t like.
On top of that, people tend to be very shortsighted and what they think they want is different from what they actually want, or at the very least hasn’t been well thought out.
Further, people don’t know what they don’t know. Since wow has so many elements to it, it’s EXTREMELY common for people to misunderstand a situation and blame balance or a game design issue, when it’s entirely a player issue.
Finally, players themselves are reticent to hear feedback that doesn’t align with their narrative. A case-in-point example is how multiple times a season, EVERY season, someone will come here and blame “broken mmr” or some variant of the sort and without exception it’s someone who went 0-12 and then got a 4-2 for fewer points than they lost. MMR is explained in a 100 ways by a 100 people in 100 different places and people still reject that information because it’s not what they want to hear.
I agree with this. While I understand the notion of picking and choosing your battles, choosing not to act means accepting the state of things. Do I think that feedback on a wow forum is going to revolutionize game design? Absolutely not. However, I do think we can do a lot to help other players, and I think that’s something worthwhile.
I mean what did PvP realistically get? Are we supposed to think because there won’t be any addons in Midnight that will fix wow and everything will be perfect?
Blitz was good, shuffle was good, we needed something anything. But because they’re doing smaller xpacs that are coming out quicker they will have less features and PvP got put in the back burner this time around.
Blizzard probably respond to feedback more than any other game company ever has, most modern expansions are themselves a response to overarching player feedback.
If you dislike the current direction that the game or a subset of the game INCLUDING PvP is moving in, not giving feedback is about the worst possible strategy you could deploy.
Think about where features like gearing and brackets currently are for PvP, all of that is there because it was a response to the PvP community’s feedback.
Blizzard listens to feedback, problem is they also tend to listen to the wrong feedback.
Side note: the reason devs often think the PvP community are toxic jerks is because a lot of you act LIKE toxic jerks to each other and that’s often times the first thing everyone sees of us. If they spent more time addressing the legitimate grievances and issues that lead to us appearing hostile all the time instead of radio silence for up to several months we’d be less prone to negative sentiments.
No you are wrong. Blizzard has said several times that they don’t interact with the PvP community because it’s extremely volatile.
Feedback matters.
That is how unpruning has happened and how the addon apocalypse has been slowly been rolled back. That is why PVP is seeing a new map in Midnight.
Anyone that tells you that feedback does not matter are not too bright and definitely not mensa members.

I hope this isn’t true.
After all Blizz gave us RSS and Blitz and are giving us a new BG in Midnight. I doubt they’ll do anything about class balance but I hope eventually they will do something about premades.
Wrong. The problem is they only listen to feedback that is about the general direction of the game. Almost all mini game debate is fully fledged out by ex R1s or 1-2 devs that are buddy buddy with a range of current R1s.
Smexxin is not going to listen to anything you say about Arcane, Failedwizard. Nothing. He doesn’t care how well YOU articulate it, neither does Envious. Your name is not Venruki or Kubzy. Your opinion is moot, regardless of how good it is.
The sole reason Blizzard does what they do is there is no oversight for what they must provide as a game platform or company. They can regress, break, bug or release an incomplete product time and again, does not matter.
theres a new arena? or bg?
please god not another cage of carnage type shi
can you link the clip plox?
That isn’t true.
Rogue devs realz does listen to Rogue feedback from not only PVE players but also PVP because realz was into playing a lot of 2v2 arena.
So yeah there are devs that do care about arena and PVP but as long as watcher stays out of their way they can do their job.
