I think pushing the whole SoD is dead thing is dumb, but I think OP, Aguy, myself, et al. just really want a fresh classic server. Arguing that a fresh classic server would be unpopular is just as dumb as saying that SoD is dead.
I think a lot of people, myself included, would like a fresh classic and don’t understand why that’s so hard to do lol. Just spin up a new server. If you like SoD more, play SoD. If you like fresh classic more, play fresh. No need to get all tribalistic about it.
inb4 “just go play era hur dur”. Come on, if you’re going to say that, you’re either too dumb to argue with or you’re being disingenuous. Fresh and era would be two totally different experiences. On one, you can find leveling groups, enjoy actual progression, and start with a fresh economy. On the other, everyone is BIS’ed AF, rich AF, and the leveling content is probably pretty dead.
Why such a weird pushback on getting a fresh classic? Once again, if you don’t like it, don’t play it lol.
