If Blizzard wanted to slow down gearing they would remove mythic+.
Blizzard needs people to run M+ and they will do every “carrot on a stick” trick to make it work.
Youre not my real mom.
They increased drops and added in valor upgrades during 9.0.5 because M + had some of the worst gearing luck of any content.
If this is the way they implement it then I don’t want it.
It’d be one thing if the drop rate were horrible but they were fairly balanced
Unfortunately the tier sets for my 2 main specs are trash, so if I want to stay relevant I’ll have to play builds that I’d rather not play. So either I can be left out, or not have as much fun
No? when tier skyrockets our dps/healing by 20-30% ill complain till my face turns blue.
Honestly, it’s a pretty bad system. I have not missed it.
It’s weird that LFG can give you tier stuff while you must do rated PvP to get it. I would think it would either only be accessible to Normal+ or also given to people who do unrated PvP since then neither will then require more than a queue. Not that PvP is any concern of Blizzard
You do realize before they were removed teir sets were only obtained by raids, and always had a low drop rate, RNG should never change in WoW
If I wanted a museum piece I’d play classic. Just because that’s the way things have been done doesn’t mean it’s how it should be done now. Doing what has been done because that’s what’s been done before is cargo cult thinking and a massive anti-pattern.
Factions, race lovked classes, RNG loot, this is the core of WoW, changing these makes the game no longer WoW, if youbwant to make this game the same as all the generic MMOs out there then just play those games and stop ruining WoWs identity
LoL wow having identity… that died a long time ago when the devs stopped trying and caring. I’m not going to respond further because there isn’t any point in arguing with nostalgia. I’d suggest going and playing classic where that will “never change”
All things I dislike. No point in factions at this point. I very much dislike RNG loot especially when it’s timegated and requires a huge investment of time. Race locked classes meh, I want more variety.
And thats a problem. Why should you be special why the rest of us have to deal with RNG?
While I disagree with tier gear being available to PvPers and instead just having it be disabled in instanced pvp, it’s because there needs to be some kind of balance for casual players. Primarily because outgearing other players in PvP means certain players get to have fun at the expense of others rather than a super geared player jumping into PvE and helping others.
Thats how an RPG works though. This isn’t COD.
An RPG where casuals are getting beat up solely because they’re massively outgeared with pretty much little to no chance of obtaining it does not lend to a good experience.
You can do what they did, perform well at the start, or you can do other content to gear up. shrug
honestly tier set are overrated.
i prefer conduit and azerite armor/ heart of azeroth.
i remember it took months for me to get the last piece of t2, the pants in mc.
azerite trait system is not good. but if players can have more power to customize it and less rng I think theres huge potencial
The way they implemented the acquisition didn’t stop the “world racers” from getting their 2/4 sets before mythic raid dropped on us and that was their intention - got to make the mythic race take longer. There are so many different solutions (some that Blizzard’s competitors have perfected) that it makes this solution laughable. The lack of ability to think and come up with good solutions has been Blizzard’s downfall since… well, since Ion became the awesome leader of developers without knowing jack SH*T about software development and even less as a leader.
What is everyone so afraid of if casuals get the gear? Who cares - they neither have the time or expertise to take your spot so walk it off.
I also love how the fanboys (paid shills) who have nothing but awesome things to say about the game find themselves taking the time away from all that fun to come belittle complaints no matter how valid those complaints are.
