Stop complaining about having to do damage as a healer... all you have to do is weave in a few spells

Why, so I can out people complaining about High Level content expectations being 0/10 normal like you even harder?

Like I said, i do play wow, and I am experienced as healer, just saying a tank got ‘crit’ feels more right than 'the tanks defensives weren’t up/ended when they took a big hit like I said here lol

Yep. Pretty tough to solo and almost as difficult to pug. 2 day per week guild decided there isn’t valuable enough loot on the boss. :man_shrugging:

I’d feel worse if you had ever managed to get AOTC.

Right now it is both. But if you are going to call someone out for not doing something, then having done it yourself at some point is a very reasonable baseline expectation. Particularly proving grounds, which is item level normalized and solo content, that has been around almost a full decade. But you still haven’t managed to do it.

Holy slippery slope batman.

You need to show you have some experience to have a good opinion. You’re literally speaking of things you haven’t done before, and you haven’t even come close to doing, in spite of playing this game for many years. Particularly if you are going to attack what other people have done.

Pot meet kettle…

Ah fair enough man. Just speech. No judgement on that and thanks for the clarification. Got what you meant.

You literally don’t know how AOTC Works do you? LMFAO.

Literally 9/10 heroic back when the content was current

“This is the same as someone who’s only done half of LFR”

Huh: so I just learned, apparently mobs have a 5% chance to crit in WoW at all times, so yeah, tanks can be crit, it’s just defensives give them resistance to it apparently https://www.wowhead.com/forums/topic/do-npcs-crit-17116

So…guess they can crit, so I was, technically, right even if I was more referring to something else in the ‘how it feels’ side of things, although, looks like this was back in the BC days when that convo happened, so that might not be the case any more, however, I’ve not seen anything saying that NPC cannot crit anymore at all

Interesting. I will admit to being completely in the dark about it all. You learn something new everyday  thanks for the info

Edit: That info does for sure make the game more interesting. Cause now I kinda wanna see it happen as a tank xD

I’m about to start rolling on my holy priest. I ABC and prioritize verse over mastery for the dps increase.

Schizim is his name, invite him and he will heal and dps.

ABC

I mean…if nothing is going on in the fight what’s wrong with doing some extra DPS on the boss? It couldn’t hurt right? Or am I missing something?

An nothing the other 2 tiers and basically nothing to show for on the Heroic/M+ dungeon side of things…

Yes Pot meet Kettle…

Probs easier to spot if you have damage taken float text on cause it’d probably be a dif color but it looks like it was a 5% chance at both are same level, if npc is higher level than you +1% for each level over you they are (which explains why they sometimes nuke you at +10 levels in one hit) and then -1% for each level you are over them (which explains why grays can’t just slap you and randomly deal half your hp)

Almost like I quit and only do Classic now.

What a revelation.

Difference is I don’t claim to still play the game currently, unlike these two vulpera frauds.

No, mobs can not crit. Defense is no longer a stat.

It’s not so much about healers not being willing to throw out damage when they think they can, but waaaay to many people throw a fit if healers aren’t throwing spells constantly be it damage/healing, never mind that healer have to manage health bars for 5+ players, watch for debuffs on 5+ players, and also quickly prioritize who can wait a second and who needs heals yesterday so as to keep the most people up in order to be able to clear the fight before running out of mana.

Legit, healing can be pretty dang stressful at times cause you are a triage nurse in a gun fight and you are for sure not being payed enough for this

This is literally what it’s about.

Ya’ll are the ones accusing us of arguments we aren’t making.

Source on them not being able to crit? The only thing I’ve seen touching the topic at all was that BC thread on the topic, but nothing other than that.

Honestly, it’d be nice to have compendiums available for all that stuff with upto date info in an easily accessible place so it’s not ‘find the info’ through 10 dif search algorithms’ and hope it pulls the right stuff.

I think a good solutions would be to give DPS more healing abilities. Give melee the ability to run from player to player and heal them. Give ranged DPS the ability to channel heals in the middle of a boss fight. Give everyone a reason to have a healing addon.

Allow ranged DPS the ability to tank at times. In the past Warlocks and Mages were needed to tank a boss. That was unfairly taken away from them.

All of this would create more depth to the game. It would create more playstyles for everyone to enjoy. Why should healers only get the fun of playing multiple classes? Just think of how more wonderful it would make the game for everyone!

It hasnt been a thing since Cata. Same for parry “haste” bosses used to get when they parry frontal attacks.

Go to warcraft logs and check any boss melee damage, if you want confirmation.

You dont play multiple classes, you play 1. Using the whole toolkit of your class+spec is not doing more than other people, is playing the game as the bare minimum level of competence.

My brewmaster is not a healer when I use detox or heal with vivify, nor a dps when I use my cd and focus my rotation on maximum damage.

Didn’t even know about a parry haste. That said, again, do you have a source on that at all? Not saying I don’t believe you, just trying to get accurate, upto date, and clear, info on what does/does not happen with npc damage calculations or anything of that nature is such a pita it’s not even funny.

uh…just pulled up that site: it’s a parse calculation site from the looks of it, and that’s not really…what I’d consider a reliable source?
