The horde cave more specifically it being used as the best graveyard in the game was just too good to really overcome in a pug VS pug.

The map is close enough to balanced now to not matter; it really comes down to how both sides are playing.
Honestly I would be happy if the npc defenders in the big bases were actually useful. Them just dropping pursuit after you are in the base is dumb. At least give them a good dismount ability. It should require a team effort to assault the enemy strong hold, but really one person can cap the base towers/bunkers by themselves because the npc’s are poorly programmed for a bg
