Go for it, but I guarantee it will just end up with a bunch of Horde players complaining there aren’t any Alliance in WM again and the bonuses will be swapped, again. The cycle continues forever.
Why not give both sides the bonus?
Because it was meant to offset the difference in player count. WM has its flaws and drawbacks, but it’s not the system at fault here. The solution on Blizz’s end is very simple.
Because Horde outnumber the Alliance by a wide margin, which is why the bonus was added in the first place. Alliance just turned WM off, and the Horde complained that they couldn’t complete the WM quests and such because there were never any Alliance in WM. If both factions get the bonus it will just be back to Horde being alone in WM and complaining that there are no Alliance around.
Then we can all agree nobody is looking for an even fight in Warmode.
Right now Alliance instigated an uneven fight. Horde runs from any attempt at countering it with an even fight (and would be the same the other way around)
Standard Wow PVP behavior
“I’m so sick and tired to these idiots offering the literal solution to the problem.”
It’s not a valid response when pretty much any suggestion to change PvP is met with ‘turn WM off.’
Are we in the same reality? Alliance complained a ton about it. And you know what happened? Blizzard implemented a ‘fix’ to help solve the issue, and it kinda worked.
I don’t remember Alliance complaining about WM, and if they did, it was met with the same response as this thread “turn WM off”.
So they did, and then I DO remember Horde complaining that there weren’t enough Alliance around in WM, so Blizzard added the bonus.
It’s really the map design only having one way out compared to the last two expansions you had multiple routes plus flying. This expansion in one zone is one way out which gotta change. War mode isn’t the problem at all. It’s the bad map design, but players aren’t pointing that out.
Putting my thread here for support.
I think a better solution overall would be to add a buff to the player based on the proportion of horde / alliance in that phase of the zone. If one side outnumbers the other 200 : 1, then the outnumbered side gets a buff to make them able to put up a fight in those proportions.
Who wouldn’t want to be a god?
I think you would find alliance players more willing to do WM when they get 200% damage increase, HP, and CC reduction.
So basically tenacity from Wintergrasp?
Yes - But on a bigger scale. If outnumbered 5:1, that one player should be strong enough to put up a fight against those 5.
You do realize it’s rather boring to kill people one by one as they come out. I can almost 100 percent say, the majority of alliance players doing this want all the horde in the refuge to man up, group together and come out in a giant team so that it’s a massive battle, you know like how Wpvp should be.
You are able to form a group and run out into a group and be competitive, you choose not to and instead run out solo, sounds like a you problem.
There aren’t even that many Alliance there usually, it’s just the fact that the Horde instead of choosing to group up and fight, chooses to run in 1v15 and continuously die. It’s infuriating.
But what incentive do horde have to do it? We don’t get the pity quest rewards that alliance does.
Salty horde tears are the best
Why does there have to be an incentive? Even if alliance didn’t get the reward, I’m pretty sure either horde or alliance would still be doing it. The reward is pvping, and winning said battle.
Even if the Horde does show up, Alliance usually just runs into the sanctuary. I’d reckon many of the players there aren’t even in a raid but are just taking advantage of the situation.
Probably, but It’d likely be a lot more balanced or wouldn’t happen at all. Most of the time I’m in WM no one actually does anything unless there’s an actual incentive to doing so, such as the CTA quests from BfA.
