My comment was more for general wpvp out in the world not exclusive to the Maw.
Whyyyyyyyy are you in wm if you don’t want this happening, whyyyyyy do we need a 5min grace period if you don’t want to be in wm
World PVP was never meant to be roving gangs of max level players camping single areas and making it virtually impossible to get anything done.
What’s going on here is griefing and trolling. And while I do agree people should just turn war mode off I do 100% support them in calling this bull crap out.
1 - turn off warmode.
2 - cry less
or
3 - continue to blame blizzard for what other players do in PVP.
never said thats what it was meant to be but it is what it is and thats what the situation in the maw is: world pvp
also gotta love the snowflake that flagged my post
lol yes it was. that is WPvP in its purest form and has been since vanilla where you couldn’t even enter Tarren Mill without getting ganked
No that is what the players want it to be.
Unless you want to tell me that the developers 100% intended roving gangs of griefers making their new expansion almost entirely unplayable in certain areas unless you turn war mode off.
its not unplayable though: just turn off warmode in the maw
They made it an opt-in for a reason.
Nazjatar? Are you referring to the World Event that went on out there? The one that was apparently taken over by 1 community that doesn’t represent the rest of the faction?
You are technically correct, but as the op pointed out that is a lot easier said than done due to the way blizzard requires the player to return to their capital city in order to turn it off.
Which right now is a bit of a time-consuming process. Which makes it basically impossible to use war mode with any kind of efficiency at the moment without running into constant trolls.
^ someone who understands World PVP. Meanwhile GD’ll goes -
Yes they did that to allow people to avoid griefers and trolls doing this exact thing.
Glad we agree.
I still don’t understand why you’d even go to the maw with WPvP on unless you want to miserable. It’s already an awful zone with high mob density, no mount unless you are a druid or worgen, and you can lose currency if you die there and don’t get back to your corpse.
You are just asking for a bad time turning WM mode on and going to the Maw if you actually intend on doing the dailies
You only need to be in Org or SW to turn it on. You can turn it off in any rest area.
Yes but think about how much effort and traveling someone has to do in order to do that.
-
go back to their capital city turn it off
-
go back to Oribos
-
go to the maw
-
do whatever needs to be done
-
go back to Oribos
-
go back to their capital city again
-
turn it back on
-
go back to Oribos
-
go back to whatever it is they need to do now
All of that just because a handful of children can’t seem to find anything else to do with their time then make the game unfun for everyone else. Honestly blizzard just needs to step in and make that entire area a PVP free zone.
you dont have to go back to the capital city to turn it off yknow
Is that so? Explain to me how it can be turned on and off outside of a capital city.
…You just go to a rested area and turn it off. Just like how you turned it on in the first place.
it can be turned OFF in any rest area
