Stop. allowing. ve'nari camping

Eh enabling your pvp talents for a pvp mode of the world makes sense, since your classes pvp power is semi tied to those talents.

I. Thought. Shatner. Played. Shaman.

Branching out, Bill?

They’re outnumbered. That’s how you get the bigger bonus.

Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it’s not true. 25-30% bonus means they’re outnumbered at least 3 to 1 on average.

If people are just turning on wm for a few hours on Monday and turning it of the rest of the time, where is your complaining that the alliance is outnumbered the rest of the week?

What’s that? You’re okay with outnumbering them 3 to 1 six days a week?

Hypocrite.

I’m confused. Blizzard has the participation data, so if the Horde is still outnumbering the Alliance within WM, then the % would stay the same. If the Alliance are participating then the % would go down.

That’s how it’s supposed to work.

I’m pretty sure in Asia it’s flipped isn’t it? Horde have AOO on their end?

Quick edit, though one core issue is with the Americas counting with Oceanic participation since their faction levels are Alliance > Horde. If Blizzard wants to keep WM perks in they should at least make it shard specific.

Wow, that’s terrible. If only war mode were optional.

Sorry (but kinda a little not sorry) to be flippant, but like they used to say back in the PvP server days, “PvP problems have PvP solutions”. And now we can even turn PvP off whenever we want. So, the situations sucks, I admit, but either get your own raid group or turn off war mode.

I love these threads because people sincerely think WPvP and WM is supposed to be “fair” when WPvP is by its very design unfair and not supposed to be a controlled balanced environment like arenas and battlegrounds

Get rid of the rewards and WPvP can be as unfair as possible as far as I’m concerned. Most people who use WM have other things to do and don’t want to have a mock battle with you for three hours.

The entire point of warmode is so griefers can grief and feel like it’s a major life achivement.

Turn it off if you don’t want to be part of that mess.

That noted, I agree - warmode should offer ZERO PvE benefit.

Instead, put a whole bunch of “look at how much of a jerk I am” achievements to it, based on how much griefing of fools you can do with it on… let it properly serve it’s true purpose.

That said… never turned it on back in BFA that I can recall. Don’t plan to now either.

If only there were a way to turn off that which vexes you.

A bunch of those “pvp talents” were baseline (and used for way more than pvp) until Blizzard locked them behind war mode to show how “popular” war mode was.

Except that the %% isn’t based on in-game factors, it’s set by Blizzard to pacify the Alliance players’ complaints.

I don’t really agree. I think it’s more of a bribe so their new sparkly mode isn’t completely barren. They won’t allow it to be a failure. Not sure if they want it to be like most PvP servers where it was a 90% / 10% favor of one faction over the other either.

The base 10% bonus, the abilities removed from baseline and then put back in as war mode exclusives, and the WM-only extra quests, those are all certainly to bribe people into turning on WM so Blizzard could talk about how “popular” it is. You’re right about that.

But the additional Alliance-only bonus is another matter.

Stop crying and just turn off WM.

Just like Alliance has had to do for years now.

Like I said in the edit, I think the Americas is in a really weird and unfair spot since it has Oceanic included in it’s overall participation.

The RP server shards are in the same boat.

No.

If they’re going to change the system it should be to remove all bonuses for both factions. Then we dont have horde piling on in WM for an easy bonus, which is part of what blizz wanted to stop.

Is that why there were so many 40-man Alliance zergs camping places in BfA? Because Alliance all had WM turned off?

There’s even a difference on different coasts of the US.

I keep hearing horror stories from Alliance players on the East Coast, meanwhile the West Coast is constant Alliance zerging, always has been.

Actually, yeah, you should. You chose to turn on warmode, so this is what you signed up for. If you do not like this, turn it off and leave it off. I have never turned it on, and most likely never will, because those piddly little rewards aren’t worth the annoyance. It sounds like they aren’t really worth to you, either.
