Stoopzz has quit WoW

  1. What?
  2. If you can’t be bothered to read, don’t post. It’s just basic courtesy.

I’m slightly more kind, I just don’t think they understand PVP. I was talking to a friend of mine about start-up companies and I said “why do you even need the CEO? CTO, CFO, and COO and you’re good” and he said “You need a vision if you’re going to make a company profitable. Someone who sees where the product should be. Otherwise it fails.”

WoW PVP is a start-up without a CEO. Because no one on the team does it without feeling obligated to do it. And that’s why Stoopzz and people like him, explaining nuance as he did with “It would take 6000 wins, or X hours to get all gear to max level.”

I think the reason they don’t grasp that initially is because they don’t instinctively know how long games are, what a loss vs. win means for honor points, how games get manipulated. It’s this basic, on-the-ground knowledge that they COULD have, but they don’t because it’s not their interest.

Well I agree with you there. But they have some need to “keep the same character throughout the game!”

It’s going to bite them. It’s so easy to keep PVP fresh. Quarterly tuning. Resilience gear. One new map an expansion and we’d all be fine. The plague of “we need progression gear” is a statement that only a non-PVPer could make.

  • PVP is poker.
  • You’re dealt a hand/have an encounter.
  • Who can outthink and outplay the other person
  • Since gear does the thinking for you
  • Gear is inherently anti-PVP.

The entire goal should be to strip away all variables so that it’s pure cunning that wins a match. You can’t get to absolute zero - but you can attempt to get close.

No, they really don’t. Maybe you can show some data that proves streamers make any difference at all. No one can provide it yet.

He did this in the other thread. He doesn’t have facts. He’s scared his game is dying. In fact I’ve provided him links to show that streams make a difference - he never responded.

Nope that thread was locked and there was no data on those links. Just some speculations.

From Data Science Today? The one that showed its methodology and it’s source findings, along with the coding used to scrap the data?

And yet here you are leaving literary feces all through the thread. Maybe it’s time to close tab.

They’ll continue down the path they are on and those of us that continue to complain will just quit the game. Wow will turn into free to play, pay to win. Then eventully shut its servers down.

I assume, the two links you posted before. Basically, streamers are looking out for their own good and their own wallets they will be back once things calm down.

I fully concur with that. If pvp was even mostly just about skill I could probably get back into it. Gear is anti pvp is a brilliant statement, so true.

Do you know him personally? Are you his PR representative? I am sure he most likely makes some good wow pvp content. You seem to be a huge fan. Just in my opinion maybe he should speak for himself and post something on the forums if he would choose to. As I am typing this there is probably a YouTube video about his announcement. Without looking at the replies to this post I can predict at least 5 “Who is that guy” You could’ve just put the last two sentences and rename your post.

and yet here we have another post that adds nothing to nothing.

Are you saying that I’ve been incepted?

It’s really sad you’d mislead people like this. They might not know it but you know it.

Saying Streamers don’t influence anything is laughable. Apex would like a word, chief.

Yep. Because:

Shocking, I know.

Sorry, I speak the truth.

I wish you luck in life. I hope you find something that makes you happy.

Thanks, I wish you the same too.

I will be continuing to play WoW until it gets really bad if that happens.
