It’s fine to take Blizz at their word, and I’m all for getting pissed at them for not following through, but as I tried to tell certain thick individuals, it’s not really relevant to get on their asses about a system that’s in a game that isn’t even released yet.
I’m not against layering in the least, but I do understand holding them to their word. But all these threads naysaying the game and claiming Blizzard are liars… If you were a Dev, on a game that’s not released, would you not be wildly discouraged? Most of these people complaining aren’t even doing it in a civil manner. They are straight up flaming these people.
Hold Blizzard accountable AFTER release, after the appropriate amount of time. This post though, is one of the very few civil ones I’ve seen.
I can’t imagine getting sooo butthurt that you resort to flaming the Devs that gave you the thing you wanted, when the game isn’t even out yet. There’s so much entitled whining going around, and it’s obnoxious.
but what if the masses seek refuge on your server? surely losing all that progress will piss off a lot of people to the point where they quit. But think of the Asmon fanboys. Where will they go?

And of course you don’t actually contribute, just complain that I’m posting.
This isn’t due to layers. If we didn’t have layers, there would be one massively overpopulated server anyway, just with 6000 people on a 3k server, instead of 55k people on a 45k server.
This is caused by all the dumb “This is the server for haters of x” nonsense. Thalnos will not be oveerrun by spanish speakers, and Faerlina will have maybe 10 streamers.
Your contribution to this forum is supporting a conspiracy theory about the damage being low in dungeons, despite being shown numerous pieces of irrefutable evidence that the numbers were correct.
Come on, don’t pretend you’ve ever contributed anything to this forum.
“Raising realm caps would simply forestall the problem, letting more players in at launch but creating an unsustainable situation down the line, with severe queues when we turn off layering permanently before Phase 2 of our content unlock plan.”
Considering what they’re saying about queues and full servers, it seems like they’re pretty committed to removing layering before world bosses come out rather than making any changes that would accommodate layering + world bosses.
We will either have long queues and people regretting their anti-megaserver stance, or enough people will quit that it won’t matter. Or we’ll have new servers and free xfers and the awful impact that has on people who may have some friends leaving and others refusing to leave and then we’ll see which scenario really had the worse effect on “community.”
Is anyone here REALLY surprised that the butthurt crybabys saying that layering won and they were quitting, aren’t actually quitting? I’ve been saying it for months, these kids will cry because they have a victim complex and feel like they are owed something, but will 100% be playing on launch day.
They have no integrity, they are just here to push their idiot agenda of the rose tinted “perfect experience”. Guess what? That experience in 2005 CAN NOT and WILL NOT happen again. The sooner you get a grip on reality, the sooner these garbage spammy posts will go away.
