1.6 had some changes too. I wouldn’t want to see an AV any later than 1.6.

Old AV is something I want incredibly bad.

I like BG’s that actually end, if all you want is mindlessly killing the other faction without end, well that’s what wpvp is for.
We’re getting patch 1.12, so I feel like it’s safe to say it’ll be that version of AV.

We’re getting staggered content release, so the devs are at least willing not to just plop a 1.12 on our lap. Maybe they can craft together an older version of AV. I’ve been around this forum since it was created and I’d say it’s the single most unifying topic here. The VAST majority of people want the original version.

Oh, no doubt I absolutely acknowledge that there are those who want the later version of AV. Some of them desire the worst parts of vanilla in the hopes they can get revenge for their wall of no coming down. They are the minuscule minority and made up largely of trolls.
More precisely, those who actually want vanilla back want the original (or closest to it, say AV 1.6) AV. I would not be shocked if the majority of modern wow players want the late version.

Indeed. I get tired of calling him out, but it’s no surprise the one person who doesn’t want old AV is the Wall of No poster who never wanted Classic to begin with and mocked those who did.

I never bothered with AV pre-1.12. While I don’t like PvP, I might peek into the old AV. From what I’ve read on the forums, many that want PvP want the earlier versions of AV.
Blizz, you should really look at that and give it to them.

Yup. He’ll grab hold of anything damaging to classic and support it without question.
"Most People" do not remember that you did not need AV to “end” in order to make rep and honor progress during the early versions. The “loud minority” is made up of those who actually loved vanilla and support classic development.

Nah there’s a loud minority that wants original AV because they couldn’t find enough wpvp. Most people want BG’s that actually end, in that case if you want more pvp you just requeue.

The majority of Classic players want AV from pre-1.12, I can pretty much promise you that.

Even if we get 1.12 AV, its not THAT bad. Games lasted 1-2 hours, often going on much longer than that…a much better game than we have on modern WoW. But still, early AV would be best.
Much in the way that a compound leg fracture would not be as bad as decapitation.

The zergfest that came with AV wasn’t really Blizzard’s fault. It was player mentality that allowed it to happen. I remember someone claiming to report me because I captured the neutral graveyard at the center of the map as horde.

You could make the argument that the majority of players want flying mounts, they want lfd and lfr, they want a lot of conveniences from Current WoW. But Classic isn’t being made for those players, so that statement has no relevance. He knows that. It won’t stop him from trolling, though.
