I posted before. On my DH I cant progress the mechagon quest. The gnome guy by the flight master keeps saying “Heres our friend now. Cancel my meeting with Wyrmbane.” And NOTHING happens. I’ve done “Scouting the Palace” in Nazjator like someone suggested. They were wrong. It didn’t do anything to help progress the quest.
It did, you just didn’t follow through. I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear enough, Kuwu, but you weren’t supposed to stop with “Scouting the Palace”, or in your case, “The Lost Shaman”. You needed to complete the quest line, which is required before you can unlock Mechagon.
You need to go back to Apprentice Odari and pick up and complete “Rescue the Farseer”. Then, you’ll need to pick and complete “A Tempered Blade”.
Then, you should be eligible for the breadcrumb quest that leads to Mechagon, " Fame Waits for Gnome One"

I was told after completing “Scouting the Palace” that I could go to Mechagon. This seems like a bug that should of been fixed ages ago but will go ignored with Shadowlands being the focus now. 
No, it’s not a bug. It’s part of the quest chain to get you to the mechagon intro quest chain.
Vrak, a Blizzard employee, even told you this.

If you need help you can usually ask your fellow players or visit sites like wowhead where there are guides like : Comprehensive Mechagon Guide.
It isn’t a bug, as with most quests and questlines, you need to fulfill the specific requirements before you are offered the quest. You dropped the required questline before you completed it, thus you were not offered the quest that started the questline to unlock Mechagon.

I don’t recall that in the quest. I was told you need to do the entire chain to unlock the quest.

The way you phrased your answer made it sound like that was all I had to do though.
It’s not a bug that Tinkspark is just standing around by the flight master in Boralus saying “There\s our friend now! Cancel my meeting with Wyrmbane. I want to leave immediately.” When you don’t have the quest chain isn’t a bug? I disagree.
It’s flavor text, Kuwu, a lot of NPC’s have it. Understand, there is a distinct difference between something not functioning the way you believe it should and a bug. A bug is when something functions the way our Developers did not intend it to.
If you feel that Tinkspark should be less friendly to you, you’ll want to use the"Submit a Suggestion" option in the in-game help menu.

But that flavor text is triggered when the quest chain is triggered, he isn’t there before at all. I think you should be less snarky for customer support please? As unbecoming as a CS being snarky and lying about it?
