was in a group when we did the quest and couldn’t mount the griffins … friend suggested reloadui … but that didn’t do anything… anyways he disabled a bunch of addons and suggested i do the same but i only have one and it’s up to date. Anyways, after i got his suggestion it worked… so idk what’s going on with it

03/22/21. FIXED. Proposed solutions are in this thread for anyone doing it recently.
You can walk to the edge of the cliff overlooking the nearby port and right click the gryphon and youll fly over no problem

there was a patch from blizzard that made the bug not happen anymore?

This is still bugged…
I ran into this issue yesterday… According to the messages above, the Any Port flight path being established is supposed to help keep this bug from popping up, but I can confirm it does not.
I fought through the Any Port area, established the flight path at the top with the Pandaren and I am able to fly to and from that location no problem… I tried every gryphon that landed at the end of the Stick it to 'Em quest, and there were others standing there as well trying to mount as well.
This quest should be fixed since its more significant in nature, being that you can ride on top of the massive elemental and destroy the witches army, which is actually pretty cool. I abandoned the quest a coupe times on purpose and started over again so I can play around with it more.
People pay monthly for this game which has been out for 17 years now… Normally it would be futile to complain about bugs, but we are all on subscriptions, so Blizzard should be more on top of things to resolve every bug reported. After all, WoW is their golden goose!
I just ran into this issue too. I agree with Indica, people are paying to play this game so Blizzard should be way more on top of things like this. It’s been two years since this thread was made and a whole month since the last reply. This is just ridiculous at this point. I’m going to do what Nim said and just hearthstone my way back to turn in the quest.
