Stealth mining in Instances

Was this actually not possible during original TBC? I did some simple iron/mithril farms in uldaman due to the massive competition out in the world and I could get 2 iron and 2 mithril every 6-8 minutes only being limited by 5 instances per hour.

Now when I loot a mining node as a level 60, all the level 30s and 40s in the whole room pull at the same time no matter how far from the node they are. Was this a real TBC change?

I can’t find this change in any TBC patch, maybe I’m not looking hard enough but right now ALL the nodes are just linked to multiple groups inside an instance in the ones I’m playing.

DM east jump runs still work right for RTV farms so I guess I’m just sticking to those.

I’m wondering about the same. Also stealth runs in general. Is it a thing of the past? I just had a buddy use the character level to 48 druid so we could duo stealth some instances, but I’m starting to think its a classic thing only now…?

I’ve been stealth mining in TBC dungeons, even max level ones like Steam Vaults, without issue on this Druid. If you’re getting weird aggro, it has to be old code associated with the mobs or the instance that causes you to flag when you interact with the node.
