He was just promoted so I think not.
BiizZard is scared that players like TBC normal flying. Still very popular!
They do not have the cajones to try again what they did back in WoD!
Im allowed to criticize it and those who defend it since it doesn’t make sense
It’s legitimately a stupid move and doesn’t make sense considering we can fly anyway, they just want to lock the other style of flying because of nothing
How does a tree look like from below or from above?
How does Ashenvale look like from above the trees to below the crowns of the trees?
How does the Spires of Arak look like from the ground with all of its details, compared to from above where none of the details exist?
Can you see the details of something like the Path of Glory when you are five billion miles up in the sky?
This isn’t rocket science, and no. The idea of “you get to your destination but faster” is completely irrelevant. The best game to date that I can think of that managed to nail exploration perfectly is the Witcher 3.
It takes maybe like … 10-15 seconds if even that to get between the closests settlements when traversing if you are going from one settlement to another. Yet when you talk with people they spend like 4+ hours in just the tutorial zone which is even smaller than the 10-15 seconds area.
How? Because they are on the ground, following the road, and experiencing the world around them. Which leads to one thing, to another thing, and to another thing, and so on and so on. Exploration ain’t about the destination, but what you find when you have been incentivized to leave the road.
That’s called a preference and is completely irrelevant to anything larger than your own personal opinion. Which you are more than free to have, no matter how wrong it may be.
thinking about it gives me a migraine.
Had I caused this much chaos in ANY job I ever worked at like this game has seen since 2015…well, Id be unemployed to say the least, lol

Just because you’re such an annoying post style and nuisance of a person who uses a forum signature
I actually wanna change my stance on this, just to not be on the same side as you
It took me all of beta and part of live to finally learn dynamic flying due to my neurological problems from Long COVID.
But once I got it down, I feel the opposite. I find dynamic flying to be more interesting and static to be more boring.
Everyone has their opinions on what they like and don’t like. But it’s irrelevant to Blizzard’s game design philosophy.
Im allowed to criticize it
No one claimed you couldn’t.
and those who defend it since it doesn’t make sense
It does make sense. Regardless of whether we like it or not. Our opinions aren’t Blizzard’s.
Sincerely,

Are you using a copy past or chatgpt or do you actually type these out
Also not sure why you’re pretending to be an employee
Too late you signed the blood oath!
Jump on board the pro TBC normal flying crusade!
Please remove the achievements needed to use this style of flying. Large part of the community appreciates dragon flying but we don’t like it. Don’t force us into this
Ok, I’ll get right on it.
It does seem odd to regard Steady Flying as a reward.
please please please

Then the same should apply to Skyriding.
I would have zero issue of them forcing us to be on our ground mounts until we did the achievement that steady flying is locked behind.
The campaigns are really not that long.
I get all the points. But we have 2 versions of flying now. With one that’s clearly slower, so if holding you back from zooming through content is the reason they are locking static flying it makes no sense.
I feel it should be the other way around. Give static out for free and make people work for dragon riding.
Or I got a great idea maybe just remove the stupid achievement need and make it when you hit max lvl pay some gold you got static flying.
I never understood why gave developers force none fun mechanics and systems in their games as artificial friction to keep you playing.
I didn’t play dragon flight till the end when I could boost and sit in town and que up for things.
He was just promoted
Getting a title in lieu of a pay raise isn’t a promotion. Our boy just lost Pathfinder and put in more single player content. He’s on his way out.

BlizZard is scared about the outcome if they allow TBC normal flying at the same time as DR aka dynamic aka SR aka whatever they call it next month!
if holding you back from zooming through content is the reason they are locking static flying it makes no sense.
That’s not the reason
I now hope they remove the achievement and TBC flying as a whole
Only dragonriding from now on

Your points are very eloquent and in the spirit of proper forum feedback. I salute you!
