Starting to think it's time to quit WoW

The game is more glitchy. The community is just as toxic. They push ads and pay for it more than ever. Time gating is just as bad or worse. Now they delete massive amounts of our time and don’t seem to care. Maybe it’s time to just admit that the Blizzard we know and love is gone, and we just have a pay to play phone grind game at this point.

Oh the Blizzard I knew and loved died a very, very long time ago.

but I like having a MMO to play and FFXIV ain’t it. WoW is pretty much my video game version of fast food.

Nah if you’re not feeling it just unsub for a bit and come back later if you want. Or buy your sub with gold and leave a wow token laying in one of your characters bags to resub on a new patch in a few months.

Or leave your gold with me, I’ll take good care of it

This is what most don’t realize. It’s week 3 only out of 10+ weeks.

The expansion for me has been doing far more than I thought but not sure how long it can last if I don’t plan to commit to heroic raiding let alone try to return to M+.

Yeah…don’t think many of us are going to make it that far. I know a lot of people are just sticking around to see the 20th anniversary stuff and planning to quit afterwards.

I don’t necessarily mind the “time gating” because it allows me a bit of time to not fall too far behind the sweaties for casual PvP. Otherwise, yeah, low value overall.

Breaks are essential to being a WoW player.

i think its detrimental to the game to allow groups to run splits to circumvent the timegating but then also timegate everyone else. it makes everyone else feel like they are so far behind and act shady af. By week 2 eveyrone in liquid was like 620 ilv and every other guild i looked at on illidan was like 610.

people who play the game and have real life jobs/responsibilities will get left behind.

i dont think what is going on with streamers being the top priority of the game is healthy for it. ie nerfing bosses for them and then handing class nerfs to everyone after.

this week i had a player on our raid team for 1 year backstab me so she could join another key group taking with her 2 of my guilds highest dps players.

theres just no sense of community, loyalty, reputation. it’s just whats your io and gearscore. still fun to hit buttons and progress but its definitely not as much of a team game. kinda depends on who you luck out grouping with more in terms of the integrity of their character in the long run. you definitely learn to see all the red flags in people the more you play in this state of the game because its an uphill battle for groups who don’t run splits.

the only reason i logged on the game this week is because my friends pulled me into keys. otherwise id be playing mortal kombat right now.

Everyone needs a break now and then. Take one and see where that goes.

Most of this is forgiveable if the game is fun to play. M+ is still the only thing to do outside of raiding that has player progression and its a Job. Its not fun, its harder than raiding now.

Delves are time gated by keys and unspammable bountiful. - Delves feel decent now, they’re just not worth running without them being Bountiful.

wow is forevers only roaches will outlive wow bros
