Starter edition

Hello

I have come back after many many many years away. I have bought the subscription. When I go on my old account and try and use the auction house it says starter accounts cannot do this? But the account is level 85 and I have paid subscription?

Thanms

It can sometimes take a little time for the in-game restrictions to lift once you’ve added game time. Just give it a little bit and make sure you log out of the game completely too so that it registers that you added game time

Hello

Thank you for you’re reply. It’s all very different now so you get the expansions with the subscription? I haven’t played in about 12 years

Your subscription will give you access to everything up to, but not currently including, Battle for Azeroth. That expansion hasn’t been rolled into the game quite yet.

If Blizzard follows what they’ve done for the past couple of expansions, is that closer to when they release Shadowlands (probably around the pre-patch for it) they have rolled the current expansion into the base game for free.

So right now you should be able to level up to 110, but to go beyond that you would need to add Battle for Azeroth.

I hope that helps and welcome back!

Ahh brilliant okay thank you, do you know if I can send a new character on a different realm items from one of my other old accounts on a different realm? Also if I make a new character on a different realm does the subscription continue? Thank you for you’re help

If you have an active subscription, you can make a character on ANY available realm. Until you get Battle For Azeroth (BFA), you won’t have access to any BFA content. If you wish to make a character that is an allied race, you must complete the reputation and achievement requirements for each allied race.

Also, you must have BFA in order to make an Allied Race.

As long as they are on the same realm (even if different license), or the item(s) are bound to your account, you can send it to them. If they are on different realms, then it depends on whether the realms in question are connected or not (for me, Suramar and Draka are connected, so I can freely mail to Draka from Suramar or vice versa, but to any other realm it would have to be account bound).

If you have multiple Battle.net accounts, then account bound items cannot be sent from one to another. It is possible, however, to have up to 8 licenses under the same account. That would allow the above to work, as you can send account bound items to other licenses on the account, and each license can have up to 50 characters each, all on the same realm.

Yes. The subscription is for the individual license, so you could theoretically have 5 characters on 5 different realms, all on the specific license, and they all will benefit from it.

What about Void Elf, Lightforged Draenei, Nightborne, and High Mountain Tauren?? All 4 allied races were introduced in Legion.

True, but they were not available unless you had already pre-ordered BFA.

New Playable Allied Races: With pre-purchase, you can start to gain favor with the Highmountain Tauren, Lightforged Draenei, Void Elves, and Nightborne to unlock playable characters.

I forgot about that very minor yet important detail.
