I wouldn’t say class design specifically is better in ff14.
I would say the overall game design and goals are less oppressive to the player base. Just my opinion.
Try it, free, if u hate it just go back to wow.
mil and Z were raised on anime like Naruto,dbz,pokemon,bleach, one piece,death note,etc.

This along with the very boring racial options has been my biggest sticking point since I started playing it. A lot of my enjoyment right now comes from it being new, not exactly better, but holy Hell am I sick and tired of looking at loading screens more than the game because a single quest takes me across seven zones to talk to one NPC, and the number of invisible walls got worse when I got flying.
FF classes also have had over 30 years to gestate and evolve into what they are now. Give blizz 15 more years and people will say the same about pally and warrior.
I watch a warframe dev play sometimes but it just feels too weeby for me and I like anime. 
FFIV is so boring IMO. So much story, maybe it’s good who knows I’m not reading that much in a video game I have actual books for that.
Quest mobs just spawn in front of you, really makes the world feel artificial compared to WoW where you have to hunt mobs down in the wild.
The loot is boring, there was pretty much zero drops that excited me in the slightest.
The combat is slow and classes are static . A Red Mage is a Red Mage, you don’t have further specialization like in WoW. No talent trees.
The profession system is stellar tho I will say that, loved fishing, and the graphics are pretty.
I’ve played the game. I don’t it play it now because I didn’t like it. Yes, I am older. I’ve never been a big fan or anime.

Ff lvling was re done 1 year ago? At level 20 you have more spells now than a wow lvl 15-20…
Game is way less slow now

False, still takes hours to complete the story until you get to heavensword. Not to mention all the dungeons the story forces you to do and if your not a healer get ready for 30+ min queue times.
Dps Q is at 6 min as of right now… Why lying?

The GCD feels a lot better once you get abilities to weave in. At that point, it’s honestly more fast-paced than WoW, where almost everything is on the GCD. My opener as a level 80 AST requires a CRAP TON of focus and quick reaction times to double weave everything properly. Also, for classes that use spell/skillspeed, that speeds things up as well.
Not sure what level your WHM and SCH are at, but I agree that FFXIV suffers at lower levels. WHM in particular gets better once you get your oGCDs and even better with the lily system. Most jobs don’t really come into their own until 70 (though some feel good by 60), which is unfortunate. Once you reach that point, it’s great, but until you get there… Well, at least the story is good! XD
For the story dungeons it 100% is not.
I love FF14, but the super long boring story you’re stuck behind to level an alt is assinine. Also, Savage raids and dungeons are about Heroic Difficulty compared to WoW’s. Ultimates aren’t much more challenging as long as you know how to move, and knowing where to move is made easily known as the mechanics show up on the ground on where you have to go.
FF14 does have cooler looks you can get, and can get gear in pugs for pre savage most times, about 70%+ savage pugs fail badly. Tokens are a nice system to get the gear you want, but the tweaking of stones in armor etc, is pretty much what wow already did.
