Is there any way to block this phrase permanently in game?
I straight up ignore these people all day long and the WTS BOOST posts keep coming.
Whoever runs starlight boosting i hope your computer dies right when 9.1 starts.

There is an addon called badboy it allows you to filter whatever terms you want

You got to admit though, it’s kinda sad players are forced to get an addon to do the gms jobs for them.

But until the advertisers cross the line in the sand blizzard allows it.
I do wish there was a toggle which just turned them off.
They could alter the tos, or they could get them on spamming, or on disruptive behavior.
I dont blame the gms themselves as I know they are over stretched, but their bosses need to stop being so complacent.

That’s the purpose of trade chat - to trade goods and services.

It blocks so much though. Spam, politics and other common ones you don’t want to see. Just add a name, term or phrase and it cleans up chat for you.

Im just glad to see trade chat being used for what its meant for instead of forming groups like in the old days
I read “stretch” as “stench” and it didn’t make sense but it was still funny and true

Depends how old the old days were. I remember people trading on it, lock box opening, professions, materials etc.

I actually had someone looking to have an old item crafted. Reminded me of the days of doing “Leatherworker LFW” and linking my book. Was proud having every single pattern in the game. Still do. Not every rank, unfortunately, but every item

Not at all a stretch. That’s literally what it’s for. All the other BS in trade chat is what shouldn’t be there.
Well, at least shady “carry” and boosting services advertising is enjoyed by someone I suppose.
But honestly, dressing it up to be something it clearly isn’t raises my suspicions about your links to it.
I don’t really “like” them - I’m indifferent I suppose. But trade chat is just logically the place for them.
Not sure what you think I’m “dressing” it up to be. It’s simply a service. Trade chat is for trading goods and services…

Boosting services are well enjoyed by a big portion of the community both boosters and boostees. Unfortunately phoenix blew up but when boosting for those guys there was nothing shady about it and everything was run legit. Boosters were under strict rules and regulations and any sort of deviation even as far as not hopping in discord with the team could result in a loss of a cut.
On top of that there wouldn’t be a boosting community if there weren’t so many players out there looking for an easy way to get some gear or achievements out of the way. It would probably blow your mind the amount of currency flowing through these boosting communities.

I boost with 4 different communities. The amount of gold people spend on stuff is insane!

Also if you are looking to boost all you gotta do is have KSM timed and you can be a booster and be swimming in gold.
Also if that isnt your jam then just sit in Org and spam WTS! The advertisers make wayyyy more money than the booster
