My Battle.net launcher has been showing the same maintenance message for WoW for several weeks now. It’s showing the schedule from Feb 25, rather than from this week (or any week since).
I’m not sure if this is because I’m on a Mac or if there’s something else odd going on. I tried switching to the beta version and back as suggested in another threat the maintenance schedule, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here.
The Desktop app should be pulling data from the same location. I haven’t seen any other reports of this. If another Mac user could corroborate that their Breaking News is showing old information as well that would be helpful.
I don’t know if it was old news but I was seeing conflicting news for several days prior to this morning. The banner across the top was saying the servers would be down from 7-9am while the triangle up next to the Notifications bell was saying there would be live maintenance from 8-9 with potential disconnects but no down time.
Right now the launcher isn’t showing me anything at all regarding maintenance.
facepalm It finally occurred to me to try off the VPN, and of course now it’s cleared out, as it should be post-maintenance. So, for me this is closed, as if it happens again I’ll know what to do. Not sure if we should keep this open for Tureja or not, so I’ll leave that up to the Blues.
That was about different things. The message in the Battle.net App when you look at the yellow hazard symbol was an overall maintenance taking place from 8-9 am Pacific that could impact nearly all games with some performance issues.
The one specifically under WoW was for that game’s specific maintenance period in which it would be unavailable during the listed time.
