Actually, it would make sense. Azeroth is a full sized planet…and even if it were much smaller than Earth (which is nearly 8,000 miles across), the sword would have to be well over a thousand miles long to reach the core. As it stands, it has barely penetrated into the outer crust by about two miles…three at most. That’s like taking a large world globe and sticking it with a tack.
Realistically, the only reason Sargaras’ sword was a threat to the world soul was because of its corruptive ‘poison’. That’s probably the reason why it was essentially ignored after it was cleansed.
Unless you perched a satchel or something, there isn’t really gonna be much above you. The places where stuff is placed would often be explained by water running through once solid rock making new formations. These plateau looking structures for instance.
Mind you, I love caves. Been to 13 different ones… Those formations don’t exist unless caused by other means.
The message is announcing a rare is arriving - not 100% sure which one, but I believe it’s one of the big nerubians that attacks the farms that are at the base of some big stalagmites.
so there a bulky nerubian lurking at top of the big stalagmite, it is above us and if starts moving and dislodging debris, the debris will rain down.
So let’s take a step back and look at this thread:
People are misreading stalagmite as stalactite, imagining something crawling on the ceiling, then criticizing the writers for not using the word they imagined?
Then they’ve messed up. This may be a fictional fantasy world…but even in such as that, for that sword to reach the center of Azeroth, they need to make it five hundred times bigger than what we see in Silithus. That, or all of Azeroth is only the size of Vermont.
