Regarding the message following message in Hallowfall:
“Small rocks and debris rain down on Light’s Blessing… Something is moving on the stalagmites above.”
In underground environments stalagmites form the ground while stalactites form on the ceiling. Y’all are usually pretty good with detail. I’m kinda surprised that this was overlooked. Also, I’m quite sure there far more high priority items requiring your developmental attention but just thought I’d point out this very minor oversight.
Great job on this expac, Blizz, I’m really enjoying it. Thanks for all your hard work!

Stalagmites to the left of me, Stalagmites to the right.
Also, above?

Have you seen the “barracks” in Mereldar? That gave me a chuckle.

There are also ledges, but yeah. Hanging : hold on tight. On the ground they might reach the top.
I remember my science teacher repeatedly drilling the difference into the class in middle school, lmfao. Amazing, they should keep it just to make us laugh. xD
Middle school science FTW … C = Ceiling!!! G = Ground!!!

Is it possible it’s intentional and this means what we see as the sky and ceiling is actually the ground, and we’re upside down in the environments? So when we go up, we’re actually going deeper into Azeroth?

That’s a roof and ceiling difference, up and down are determined by gravity. Without gravity there is no up or down. We fall down in this expansion, ergo that’s the ground.

Except for the times where our characters are walking on ceilings and gravity goes up, because of magic, since it’s a fantasy world.
but even in a fantasy world, its the magic that allows us to defy gravity. gravity doesn’t stop or reverse its directional pull.
Then that’s explained and temporary for a specific area or event. Not our world.
I’ve been saying for over a week… how cool would it be if we flew “up” to Beledar, then got inverted and we had an entirely new zone where the ceiling becomes the ground? That crystal is insanely reminiscent of Oshu’gun. Down to the patterns around it.
Just sayin’…

I wouldn’t mind them pulling a Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on us.

That’s basically what I was saying, what if Hallowfall is inversed and that magic crystal thingy is coming out of the actual ground instead of ceiling. Was just a thought.

It would be the coolest thing I think Blizz could ever do, imo!
Need to go free our Naaru!
(And if that thing isn’t a Naaru… then Blizz better come up with a good explanation as to why the markings on it look exactly like one…)
Rule of thumb, if it’s a cool change that could happen to something they’ve already made it likely will never happen. lmfao
If the stalagmite is several meters tall, it is indeed above you.

Size doesn’t matter.
At least not here. Matters if it forms on the ceiling or floor of the cave.

Oh it’s pretty definitely Naaru related.
I dunno if it’s a giant one or a ship like Oshu’gun, though.
