Title says it all, we don’t need 3 tier tokens dropping from bosses, we need more non-tier items to drop. So many people I know have been clearing SSC and TK since week one and there is so much loot that just doesn’t drop.
We got Rouges with no talons (some guilds never seen it drop).
We got mages that never seen serpent coil drop once.
Me as a priest I have yet to see an ethereum life staff or an earring of soulful meditation drop (and I have never missed a lockout).
Melee classes that have yet to see a dragon spine trophy.
I know a warlock that wants fathomstone from hydros and has never seen it dropped.
Tanks that still don’t have a pair of boots of the resilient.
The loot distribution in TBC raiding is horrendously bad and I feel like it’s designed to just keep you coming back week after week only for items you want to never drop.
I’m surprised they are even upping the amount of tier that drops. Three pieces is actually insane. That means in one week you are getting 15 pieces of tier.

Yes you would like to but reality is that its not needed at all. We had 1 of them drop in 16 kills. It’s just rare but not needed at all.
If someone really thought they could get full p2 bis or some of those weapons then they are a little delusional. P3 offers way more time to get full bis
It is good for people to build off spec. The set bonuses are usually good to have asap. Tier set items are also stronger with higher stats budget and the itemisation is usually relevant to the intended spec. Non set items can wait
we saw our first ever netherbane of the entire phase the other night. it was the first ever netherbane ive also seen doing a weekly gdkp on my warrior and shaman as well.
im fairly sure its not a low drop rate. the fact that i can zone into org or shatt and see 2+ people dual wielding netherbane suggests that, so maybe we jut have bad luck.
Not seeing the items drop ever since doing the raids since week one of release just pisses people off and makes them feel like the game is wasting their time. We should have seen the staff drop at least once by now and the priest trinket. Also, I need the priest trinket for arenas and it won’t drop for me. That’s 2 items I want that have not dropped for me ever. I will be going into phase 3 having never seen these items drop.
I can relate having never seen earring and the staff just dropped last week for the first time. I have the Vashj mace but want it for pvp. Since we are gearing scrubs and everyone’s alt but mine at this point of course it went to another priest though and I’m sure our first earring will too if we even make time for SSC next phase. Likely have to find a GDKP on my dead server during my playtime’s(unlikely) to grab one.
Even still, I don’t think look distribution needs to be messed with. Do that and the old raids are just going to fade out and no one will run them. I think RNG with loot is part of the game and gives people a reason to go back to older content and run them (think BWL for trinkets, MC for bindings).
There should have been a raid badge system. Each boss drops idk 1 badge end boss 2 badges. Personal loot them. Then put all raid gear at vendors and idk. Belt of 100d is like 70 badges. Take a long time for a single piece.
I’ve done 14 TKs have never seen a rod. Ever. Never once ever. So my entire tier is gone. Waste of time because instead of a dope rod, using a 61 blue BOE 2.7 speed weapon. Don’t need tier loot. Need a badge system.
By doing arena? No thanks. Arena in tbc is awful and a terrible experience. Especially as an enh shaman. Farm a few hundred hours for honor gear. No thanks.
Not whining. Just explaining that it’s obvious why they changed the system in future iterations of the game. Because one person getting double bis weapons week 1 versus another not seeing a single pair after 18 weeks is a very bad system.
