Actually there is, as you said, anyone can offer money from outside the game, so you can get ninja looted. Or you think the gold sellers who run GDKP care? they just make another alt. Their reputation doesn’t matter to them, since everyone already knows they are scumbags.
But the people bidding on items, who do RMT don’t care about this. It only benefits the carries. So the people who want the items, don’t really see a benefit from this.
Not really. If you have enough gold to enter a GDKP, you probably don’t need the gold from GDKP. This is just gaslighting the RMT do, to justify the existance of GDKP. Out of the people who attend a GDKP only 2/10 maybe care about the gold left. The large majority are RMT players.
Actually there is. Your item doesn’t drop, why stay? Who cares? its a GDKP run your reputation doesn’t matter to the gold sellers, you can always find another raid next week. And since the people who bid are mostly RMT they don’t care about gold.
Truth is the people who, supposedly, attend GDKP for the gold are a low percentage of the raid composition. The rest, don’t care about gold.
The fact you think it takes an economics degree to understand this EXTREMELY basic stuff is very revealing. I suspect you think a degree is needed for a plethora of common sense subjects.
Until you are geared and every run the dudes in green ‘strategically’ reserve the one rare drop you have been after for months. All the drops go to them anyways because you already have, and when your item drops you lose the roll.
SR is great if you are undergeared - sucks for geared players.
Better to roll with LC if you are good, you get items faster, runs are smoother, and you can DE / OS all the other stuff and build fun side sets / make a little gold.
SR is a little better than MS / OS in the sense that it is less likely someone will walk away with like 3 new items and the other person playing the same class will get zero.
It is a fine system when gearing up a toon, but just like MS>OS there is no incentive for geared players to attend those runs.
