And if either of you are serious about PvP in any way, you’ll take every advantage you can get when Honor is introduced. Because everyone else will. “Fair fights” and “fun” be damned. That stopped in Vanilla as soon as HKs were introduced (well, “fair” fights were never a thing, except for the people dueling outside the gates of Org and SW).

These add-ons existed in vanilla and there were multiple of them. 0pium, vanas KoS, and ultimate book of the dead off the top of my head. Parsing the combat log isn’t game breaking and if you feel that it is I expect you to make the same argument that skada and threat meters need to be banned as well because they work the exact same way.

See people don’t actually want wpvp. They want to kill unexpected players near death and not ready to fight back. MuH HoNoR they scream and get mad that an addon lets people get ready for that pvp action. These are the same people with warmode off on retail.

This sounds great. Thanks for the recommendation.

Not in chat no. I always gave a shout out im vent to my party back then.
I still have my combat log undocked and look for enemy abilities. Only difference is now we are in discord instead of vent.

It’s a game changer in STV and on.

The ones that don’t want pvp are the ones using this addon, it is a cheat that allows you to know when you are about to get ganked, im not playing a rogue or anything and i see how cowardly is to have this addon on you.

Nah you’re wrong. You just want an easy 1 sided fight to stroke your fragile ego. I’ve been using this addon forever. It doesn’t change the outcome on any encounter.

Of course it does because it is telling you thet someone is about to attack you so you can prepare, doesn’t matter if you are the one being ganked or the ganker, the addon DOES change the outcome.
Now I confirm you have REALLY low IQ if you really believe that this doesn’t change the outcome of pvp.

This addon doesn’t sound that bad tbh. A much more powerful version of it existed in vanilla. I think it was called KOS or something like that. That addon literally just scanned the area you were in and could warn you of players from really far away without relying on the combat log. Not saying I like the addon, but it’s a much weaker version of a widely used vanilla addon so I don’t see why it needs to go.

Just because a more powerful version existed doesn’t mean it should exist in the first place because it disrupts the natural flow of the environment and not only in WPVP but in instanced pvp too because there is no way this should be allowed in instanced pvp either.

Right… because I have an addon to track that sort of thing for me. In PvP servers, pulling your Combat Log open and color-coding the information with just a basic chat addon like Prat can do this just fine, especially since those addons let you copypasta rapidly into other channels.
This addon just speeds that up and lets you clearly and cleanly announce opponents the same as manually typing “Rogue near Astranaar, west side” in general chat. It doesn’t help anything else and the alerts can actually be false flags if you’re the paranoid type, making you think every Horde or Alliance nearby is out to get you.

How does an addon that alerts you to people casting Frostbolt in a battleground somehow a crazy broken mechanic when you can clearly see the Mage pelting people around the node/flag carrier/boss with Frostbolts?
How is that any different than an addon that just alerts you to enemy spell casts of CC? Or just a cast bar addon?
LOL?

Remove it.
Does everything have to be reactive? Please think ahead to preserve the game experience.

Eh, I’ll leave it up to blizz to decide. Doesn’t make a difference to me either way since I won’t be using it. The addon is practically useless in it’s current state if all it does is look at the combat log, lol. Any good PvP player will have their combat log viewable at all times anyway.
Also, I fail to see how this addon matters in instanced pvp at all… lol. You know you can view everyone on the enemy team with their names and classes by default, with no addons whatsoever, right? It’s in the little button that shows other info such as killing blows.
