But when it comes to covenant abilities having gameplay impact too big to not allowed to be changed the same way essences are… its all “BUT THE RPG ELEMENT”
They are a vraykul placebo. mini Vraykul ? LOL
A corrupted wish of something they are not!
Just like junkgnomes! Compromise. Placebo.
Nope! We lost all the ships that were hunting Nathanos en route to Azshara’s trap. we are on the same boat as the Horde in relation to naval force.
I said that? I said that there was no consequence to the horde that you claim they suffered.
And I’m sure they didn’t know that burning Teldrassil with all the unarmed civilians inside it wasn’t wrong to do, so any member of the horde should be held responsible for something more severe than verbal admonition, even when there were those who chose to stay with Team Saurfang and we have seen many choose Team Syl.
I really have no idea who you are talking about! this character has a real name / i’m sure i didn’t face any cod king or tentacle emperor.
But if you don’t even know his name, he was not someone important.
This is terrible… I know this is just a game, but watching teldrassil burn and reading elegy made me really sad, i was crying when i finished the novel, and now we are going to pretend that never happened? I lost my faith in you blizzard.
According to Ian Bates, it sounds like they are removing the Battle for Lordaeron scenario from the game. More pruning of story-related content. Yay, as if not enough story content from BfA hasn’t been pruned already.
Surprise. surprise Blizzard doesn’t want to start the new player experience with the Burning of Teldrassil. It killed the mood for this expansion so much of course their going to want to keep it hidden to optional cutscenes.
Even in the live game the War of Thorns and burning is already missing. I could understanding cutting out the WQ part, but why Blizzard cut out the quest chain part of the prepatch I don’t know. Though this is a habitual problem of Blizzard, such as cutting out Wraithon’s pandaria arch and Khadgar’s WoD storyline.
Do new Night Elf players ever know about the horrors of the War of the Ancients or why their race has been run through the gutter constantly by the Legion?
I don’t recall learning too much about that when I played through my elf in Classic. Maybe they did it in the new darkshore?
Isn’t the attack on Teldrassil a major driving force for the war that happened in BfA? Y’know, the war that ultimately accomplished next to nothing?
Really the only good thing to come out of that conflict was killing a San’lyan, because Sylvanas is literally crazy enough to recruit them and think it’s a good idea.
This is just baffling more than anything.
I feel bad for my new Hunter who’s a Night Warrior who’s also seeking vengeance…Will I have to list her as a time traveler or something?
Well yes, yes you should feel bad. Why my character here feel extremely bad that the arrow she fired at that fleeing Night Elf missed. Why now she questions her whole reason for being a Hunter.
The Kaldorei sequestered themselves for millennia and devoted themselves to Elune and Cenarius. If you play through learn about Mt Hyjal and the war and everything (and you can always play WCIII).
So, I’m supposed to go through life constantly contemplating “did those pixels deserve it? I know they are only imaginary things in a digital world, but maybe they didn’t deserve what they were created for… by the designers… of a video game… in a poorly written story.”
Yeah, neither of those is going to happen. If I did RP, I wouldn’t feel bad for doing something I’ve been doing for 15 years, killing alliance. I also do not feel bad in my personal life, because that stupid. I guess the great pixel deletion goes unpunished.
They could retcon all of BfA(except for allied races) out of existence for all I care. The story was rotten from the beginning.
The Horde Players were forced to engage in a war of aggression that few of us wanted. I basically quit caring about the story at that point because it stunk.
The Alliance Players were forced to fight the war as though brain dead. It was ridiculous.
There are good ways Blizzard could have set up and executed the ‘Faction War’ story, but they failed completely.
Blizzard, Black and White is for amateurs and children, embrace the Gray in story telling.
I mean Vrykul wouldn’t work with how tall they are and how they tried to commit mass infanticide because they hate humans but whatever.
Also, no. The robognomes have always been established to be mindless automata.
I mean we built a boat in a day… I don’t see the Horde doing that either. Even if we did theoretically lose all of our ships, just rebuild them within a month or three.
His name starts with an N and he’s a big fan of lovecraft. And he’s not lovecraft’s cat either so don’t go there.
To be fair I think they are changing the racial introductions because chronologically Teldrassil hasn’t happened yet. Tyrande will get some kinda closure in Shadowlands so… I don’t think they are retconning it. As a night elf I definitively feel underwhelmed however.
The definition of a Blood Elf is a High Elf who lived through the destruction of the Sunwell, which happened during the events of WarCraft 3.
A group of High Elves left Azeroth to fight on Draenor (Outland) during the events of WarCraft 2. They traveled the cosmos with the Army of the Light, and then became Void Elves.
They literally never witnessed the destruction of the Sunwell, therefore, they are not Blood Elves.
Hate them all you want! I don’t care, I’m a Horde player. I’m just letting you know that calling them “purple Blood Elves” is 100% wrong. They are, in fact, “purple High Elves.”
