Have to agree here. War is war. That being said, there are some atrocities that are simply deemed unacceptable by the “powers that be”, many of which she has been committing since day one of World of Warcraft. What I can’t figure out is why people think her character change. It didn’t.
Sylvanas does need to die, but not because of genocide that never took place. If she’d killed every night elf on the planet? Yeah, THAT would be genocide, but she didn’t.

Illidan/Sargeras/Sylvanas are just too big to simply die, they were all vilified trying to do the right thing.

Alright, now I know you have to be trolling. “Doing the right thing”, for Sylvanas, entails killing every single living thing on Azeroth. She absolutely despises the living. Her end goal is quite literally to kill all life, thereby feeding the Jailer enough souls to break free and reap the soul of Azeroth herself.
Her story is not completely revealed yet, you will soon learn Padawan.
She is one dimensional. She has had 0 character growth since turning into the undead. Everything she has done has been out of selfish motives to further her personal ambitions. Anything in her way is discarded, and everything that supports her is a tool that is also discarded when no longer useful.
She’s also been abusing the plague since vanilla WOW, which gasp she just used again in BFA.
They reuse assets too. Tyrande seems to be doing the Jaina this time around. I don’t really care, I’m used to disappointment I’ve never expected blizz story telling to be superior…it’s a computer game, it’s not Tolkien. I’ve just always loved Sylvanas and as a Blood Elf main felt a connection to her in our story. So I want her to stay in the game but not to be hated. We’ll see, I’m not expecting much though.

I can’t handle your posts anymore. Teldrassil, while tragic, is not being forgotten. It is being honored in the Ardenweald story as a complete and beautiful arc. We get to help those souls find peace. Tyrande murdered Nathanos. She will likely kill Sylvanas as well.

Nathanos got what he wanted and comes back in Shadowlands, Sylvanas is getting redeemed as stated by blizz multiple times.
