Honestly it was the various mounts and tech doodads you could make that kept me going. I kind of liked having a gigantic zone-specific crafting system that made fun and semi-useful stuff, even if I sunk all of it into the mounts that I’m never going to use because I have my Wolfhawk from Legion and I love him so.
I think what I liked most about Mechagon is it wasn’t a world ending threat or Horde vs Alliance nonsense. It was a completely localized conflict with generally “low” stakes. Made me remember the good times, back when I was a Murder Hobo for hire, willing to commit atrocities on the promise of a new pair of pants and not CHAMPION OF THE FACTION! THE ONE TRUE CLASS HERO!
Yea same, I loved Mechagon (aside from my love of gnomes) because it was a way more focused and condensed thing. The stakes were important but they weren’t “AND NOW THE WORLD WILL LITERALLY EXPLODE…AGAIN” stuff.
I really hope the GCD changes. I saw some old macros I had back in MoP and I missed the ability to go big by putting all my CDs and /y IT’S CLOBBERING TIME!
We want to make Ignite spread something the player has agency over, and first experimented with the past system of making Fire Blast spread it. However, because of the importance of using Fire Blast for Hot Streak very frequently, we’ve seen feedback that this creates a lot of tension and still makes it difficult to control when you and don’t want Ignite to spread.
In the next alpha build, we’re going to try letting Phoenix Flames fill this role, as a baseline spell for Fire Mages. This gives Phoenix Flames a unique function and identity as a core spell, as well as allowing for more choice over when to spread Ignite. If we continue with the change, we’ll look into a new talent to replace Phoenix Flames in upcoming builds.
AKA, Phoenix Flames will be baselined for Fire Mages in the next Alpha build.
Leader of Ardenweald, the ethereal Winter Queen is charged with the sacred task of maintaining the great cycle of rebirth: restoring perished loa, Wild Gods, Ancients, and other nature spirits and returning them to the mortal plane.
Oh, so she doesn’t handle the rebirth of all souls…only nature ones
Time to rethink a characters motivation in SL and probably a new covenant choice
