Have you listened to the in Dornogal? Khadgar explains what he did to survive, except that there were consequences.
I don’t recall anything being said in dornogal. Where do I go to see that?
A lot of people probably play the games without necessarily having read all of the Harry Potter books.
But WoW is a game that spawned books, not really the other way around like Harry Potter is.
People play a lot of games without caring about the lore that much. Warhammer Total War is another great example of that.
I think his point is hating something, but going back to it over and over. Kind of like Star Wars fans that haven’t liked any Star Wars since Empire Strikes Back lol
RotJ is my jam
I think the WoW story is mostly trash but that it provides some of the better gameplay on the MMO market. Not sure why these two things can’t both be true and still allow room for reasons to play the game.
That’s my favorite one too! Loved it as a kid. Still think Jabba’s Palace is one of the best openings to any SW movie.
The entire lore/story of the game was entirely ruined by Steve Danuser.
Nothing outside of a complete and total retcon and removal of everything since Legion can undo the IP Ending damage he did.
Wait where is that? I must’ve missed it.
You went right over my point. People are sitting around saying wow lore sucks and the story is stupid yet still never stop playing. Why play something you don’t enjoy?
My point was imagine someone hates wizards and all the lore of Harry Potter and think that’s stupid but read the books every year. What sense would that make?
I don’t like PVP but hey let me go to the PvP forums and make sure I tell everyone about my opinion because I’m special and I need to be heard
Thank you for your opinion. You’re so strong and brave
The WoW (Warcraft overall, really) story was long ago sacrificed for the sake of gameplay (raid tiers) and we should probably just move on from that.
He turned himself into pure Arcane energy to survive in the Dark Heart, which aborbs magic to fuel it for some yet unknown purpose.
This is quite reductive of what actually happened. Khadgar was disintegrated and turned himself into pure Arcane which was being devoured by the Dark Heart. I don’t know how long in-game it has been since the fall of Dalaran, but it’s probably only been a few days maybe a week. Anduin also regain a portion of his connection to the Light, and - for the second time ever in Warcraft lore - casted Resurrection to bring Khadgar back to life (the first time he did that was during the Cataclysm to save his father Varian).
No, there’s still Ansurek and her Nerubian army to deal with as well as Xal’atath eventually returning.
Paying attention is hard, I know… Obligatory /s.
THEY DON’T.
Yeah, I couldn’t answer that for the other person. I was just translating what I thought they were trying to express. I have definitely played and enjoyed games where I didn’t care for the story. Just dropped 60 hours in Dragon Age Inquisition, bored to death by the story, yet still plan to buy the next one because the gameplay is A+
because with the power of friendship; nothing is impossible.
It’s at the Foundation Hall, where the quartermaster is for the Earthen.
Bruh what yes they do lol did you not complete the campaign quest or watch the cinematic?
Fair. I was just trying to offer that same rebuttal though.
Simply that whether they like a story or not, people will play a game and especially an MMO if the gameplay hits for them.
I Race Changed my Human Warrior to Earthen and completed the heritage armor quest.
I re-watched the cinematic before replying (and again before this reply), and never once does Alleria, Anduin, nor Khadgar say “the battle is over” or “we’ve won”. Xal’atath, on the contrary, says “this changes nothing” as she disappears. In what alternate dimension does that mean “it’s over”? Even the Wowhead article says “Xal’atath is stopped, for now”.
What is it with forumites and so confidently lying?
