*SPOILERS* I don't understand the cinematic

I thought it was a black bird like a raven, no?

It was, in WC3. I’m pretty sure that it’s just magic-blue colors here to drive home that it’s a magic shape-shift bird, and Xalatath isn’t ten ravens in a suit and we knocked one loose.

About half the spirit animals look ghostly like that no matter the base animal’s colors; this could just be to communicate how weakened he is

That’s a wild deflection to make when caught blatantly lying.

He never implies that, the most you can glean from what he said is that they want to make the expansions shorter, like a year or so long to put out expansions faster.

Which here is a spoiler for you, they have been saying they want to put expansions out faster ever since BC and it never happens. I expect TWW to last a year or year and a half at most.

He did not say mini. He said, verbatim,

“… Having said that, we are working on multiple ways to deliver this adventure to you a little faster than you’re used to. Keep your ears peeled. I assure you, we are moving with purpose. And the last thing we really want is for ya’ll to have to have your grandkids control your mouse and your keyboard trying to wrap this thing up.”

Some people extrapolated this as “The Worldsoul Saga are just going to be patches!”

Ion later said in an interview, I cannot remember which one, that he wishes that Metzen did not say that. There are no plans, there has never been any stated plans, the word ‘mini’ has never been used to describe the Worldsoul Saga expansions. They are full expansions.

WoW teams are working laterally on the next two expacs in advance of this one. So we might see them a few months faster than we usually do, at most. But they’re not intended to be ‘mini’.

I don’t have a dog in this race, but they did explain that the world soul saga was coming out in 3 parts. It’s 1 expansion, split into 3 more or less. Call them patches, mini’s, whatever. All the same honestly

That’s not what that implies. It’s a three part saga, with expansions intended to be full expansions. It just means that all three of them relate to a central premise and aren’t strewn about thematically.

Well what happend is bad writing of course. They rushed the campain to be out even before the raid came? Now that xalatath is out what is the point of raiding nerubians and their inpact on the whoe story, altho its predictible(we go in beat current queen old one comes back unity for spiders and our new great allies). Writers and developers seem to be hard out of tune as developers are trying to spread content to last 2 years and writers are rushing story to reach their narrative and say ta daaa.

Right.

Smaller portions of an over all story released in segments at a quicker pace.
Same thing as patches. Now granted, they’re not just patches, but they may as well be perceived the same. It’ll be smaller content than DF, released quicker (I think they said they’re aiming at 18 months) - so it’ll be like 3 patches per expansion.

Light and Shadow are two sides of the same coin. The Naaru set that, and Beledar confirms it.

Someone tell me what is that Shadown round plate that Aleria shoots down ?

First of, the cinematic doesn’t make sense because you’re missing context. I suggest playing the game, and reading the quest then going back to review them.

That being said:

Khadgar has used a bird form since forever, much like his tutor Medivh was a raven. And no it wasn’t a ‘prank’, Anduin clearly reached out to the light and used that to bring him back, which is a Big Character Moment for him personally.

We didn’t win the war. We won a small victory in the battle, denying Xal at least one of her objectives. Khadgar died after being imprisoned in the Dark Heart, and where who-knows-what was done to him, and then being forcibely ejected. His death serves as a catalyst for Anduin to do the thing he’s been avoiding doing since he returned: Use the light.

The immediate battle in Hallowfall is over, they’ve driven Xal back for now - that’s a win. But the overall war is not over, and Xal’s got other plans in motion.

I dont know where these folks are getting that from but there are a few parroting it over and over

Someone should tell them that as they repeatedly said “the war is over” and “we won” lol

Promise?

I don’t recall seeing that being said at all in the cutscene. Are you sure you’re not mistaking Khadgar’s constant reminder that this is not the real fight?

The way you hate on blizzard but play their games and talk in their forum platform is amazing. I love you cringey whiny cucks

I don’t think I need to promise. We know it’s happening.

It’s nice when there are people who pay attention and appreciate the lore instead of people who hate the story and yet still stick around.

Imagine hating Harry Potter but reading the books every year lol
