Somehow “we won” and “the war is over” now? I don’t understand anything at all of what just happened. Why did Khadgar “die” there? Why do they think that the “battle is over” or that “we’ve won?”
Well, Metzen did tell everyone that these next expansions are literally just patches and considered “mini expansions.” Though the fact they are charging $40 to $90 for patches this size shows that are chasing after the money a lot more.
Imagine if they charged you $40 for Korthia, then $40 for the last zone of Shadowlands, then another $40 for the DF patch where we go into Fyarrak’s land. That’s exactly what is happening here.
It was the heavily telegraphed “W” moment for Alleria. Xal’atath will shatter the temporary false sense of safety by returning with an “it was merely a setback” moment of her own with a gratuitous foot focus clip.

The fact that Xal’atath needed the Void and is implied to be Beledar(due to Beledar switching to Light the second Alleria yelled out “Enough of your illusions Xal’atath”) and was banking on the Dark Heart that laid broken Prophecy means that she had her Heart removed and her Void was artificially infused into her and was bleeding out.
She is a being of Light not Shadow.

Xal’atath has recently absorbed a ton of Fel(from Sargeras’s Sword), Life(from Elun’Ahir), Death(from Dalaran) and Arcane. The most recent to be absorbed will start bleeding out in lieu of Void causing Beledar to turn Red.
She will realize the true answer to the Prophecy is her actual Heart(which was stolen by Y’Shaarj along with one of her eyes with the other being stolen by C’Thun and her Death Magic being stolen by Yogg-Saron), grab it, shove it into her bleeding body and revive.
