My only wish is that they would pull back hard from this civil war, make saurfang rejoin the horde and for sylvanas to chill out on the death to all living. Basically everything that’s happened for the horde this expansion.

I would… She was introduced as an emo zombie who hated the crusaders, then flipped to hate necromancers, and now is basically the horde rogue with a heart of gold. It’s fine on it’s own, but I see them trying to make that the prominent theme of the forsaken. See how they are ruthless but incredibly honorable!?

These guys are pure gold. It’s just sad we get great stuff like this with no names while the entire forsaken high command sit in darkshore doing and saying nothing.

It’s almost as if Blizzard has to write the Nightborne a certain way while neglecting certain things for them to logically still be loyal to the Horde.

At least the Nightborne are mostly just in it for the Blood Elves’ sake.

Yeah if they were more prominent it would be millions of times better than Sadelling and his Sad Story about his Sad Family.

Less Sadsaken and more actually fighting the other faction in this faction war xpac please.

An armed, militaristic clan with the intent to terrorize and murder innocents vs. Innocent people just minding their own business while their nation is trying to protect them from an invasion they did not provoke.

I’ll give you a hint, one’s terrorism and one’s militarism. One was to PROTECT people and one was to DESTROY and DEMORALIZE people. I know you’re smart enough to tell the difference.

Son of a b;tch they forgot about Ji again!

I can see a T&E skit out of this one again. Poor panda man. People who showed up to the Horde 2 weeks ago get more input than this guy.

We have enough dam Forsaken! It’s time for other races to get some rep! Let’s get some Orcs or Blood elves

We have like one in a protagonist role and that’s Voss. And she’s barely Forsaken to begin with.

The rest are being pointlessly villain batted because fighting your enemies is eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevuuuuuuuuuuuuulllll.

What? We just had two Orc heavy expansions. Forsaken hadn’t had the spotlight since Cata and that was mostly in low level zones. I’m fine with Forsaken getting a good look but this expansion has been shaky for them. Blood Elves and Tauren need the most attention atm.

Vietnam flash backs of Teldrassil and blighted Darkshore

NO! NO MORE FORSAKEN PLS!

My problem isn’t with the narrative (although I have plenty with it), it’s with the fact that you have inserted yourself as the arbiter here with the power to absolve Eitrigg of what he did, and then using circular logic hold him up as an authority from whom you are drawing your conception of honor from.

This is kinda forky, Pyro.

I know Teldrassil was stupid and cruel, I have never said otherwise. But Eitrigg is by no means some moral authority. Because whatever you might assert about the ends that justified his means, he was most certainly DESTROYING and DEMORALIZING people. And I can’t assert that Sylvanas was also PROTECTING people, because I don’t know her motivations (From her inner thoughts in the story her actual goal is obscured), but I’ll bet it will come with the same kind of twisted logic as she always has - which usually includes protecting those she wants to protect.

I can respect both Eitrigg’s and Geya’rah’s version of honor. I want to make a Horde where they coexist. But defining the Horde based on a sense of honor that is a massive, self-referential, inconsistent mess is not going to solve any of the Horde’s current problems. And plenty of the leaders are showing with their comments that they are thinking practically about the Horde’s future, even if not as critically of honor as I would like.

The fact that the Devs have dangled two opposed definitions of honor in front of each other heartens me. They aren’t blind to these kinds of contradictions I am talking about.

Well maybe if they stoped being evil they’d stop being villain batted. Maybe if you started acting like actual heroes, you’d be allowed to have heroes?

I am going to stay in denial until the patch goes live. :’)

How do you get villain-batted if you’re already a villain?

You… You do realize that the Forsaken… don’t actually decide what to do right? That it’s the decision of the writers to make them evil? Right?

Because if you don’t… Ooooh boy.

Tell that to the people who rebelled against Garrosh. Or Elisande. Or Kael’thas. Or most every ruler that had been rebelled against by the people at that meeting - there are several.

I mean it’s not even just Forsaken. We were sold a faction war, some of us were actually interested in fighting the other side (and not our own) without having to feel bad for it. Like there weren’t Worgen in the Warden’s towers during Legion crying at us for being evilllllll for killing Alliance NPCs, while we were NOT actually at war. I don’t know why we couldn’t have skirmishes like that instead of being sent to kill doctors in incursions and being called monsters. I don’t personally care, I’m going to do the quest every single time it’s up because it’s easy and I don’t RP… but I feel bad for the people who do care.

Look at all these opinions that shouldn’t matter to the Alliance that they’ve been murdering, but inevitably will in the coming patch where the Devs forcefully remind Alliance fans that the Horde can’t be held responsible for the atrocities they commit.
