That was basically her selling point. It’s a huge part of what granted her such legendary status; we couldn’t talk to her, see her, or interact with, and we had to rely on faith that her actions were actually her.
We’re not god-like in anywhere near the same capacities.

Personally, the cosmology of WoW deities has never really made sense to me. It’s sort of a hodgepodge of various parts of different fantasy stories and mythologies.

FWIW, I also dislike WoW going cosmic. Not really for the same reason. I don’t think WoW is a game that had a whole lot of awe and mystery going on in the first place. But going Cosmic just escalated the story so much that it’s impossible to go back down to earth story-wise for anything but a brief detour. We’re not just going to FORGET about the remnants of the Legion, or the concept of Void Lords that Blizzard dangled around a ton in Legion, or Sargeras in his prison, or the Naaru, or other worlds in general. We have literal spaceships. We’ve been to multiple alien planets. We’re in the literal afterlife right now as well. This kind of stuff isn’t going to stop, and it makes me sad as someone who greatly prefers more grounded storytelling.

She was referred to when the Winter Queen described Ysera as “my sister’s little pet”.
Am I missing something here? This isn’t new.

The titans are “Gods” as well. They are literally creators, and they have their own pantheon…
Elune is part of a pantheon, that’s pretty close to godhood, what sort of “god” were you expecting?
The loa are wild gods and linked to ardenwald… what makes you think Elune would be any different…?

In the same way that Freya in ulduar was a titan keeper and a mere fraction of eonar’s power, Elune being a first one puts her still in a very high cosmic position.
You are also thinking of literal family ties and not the celestial implications of the word sister. They are related in duty, not necessarily in power.

Not only are the devs biased on horde’s side but the writers too. They want to destroy what little the alliance has and it’s sad. You can tell at this point they just have a blatant hate against alliance and want to kill us off and rename the game “World of Hordecraft”. Good luck thought, I won’t switch to the villainous horde!

I mean…her sister is the ONLY eternal one still standing strong and keeping their realm together: Primus the “Great” military power of SL beaten not once but TWICE, Denathrius (beat by mere mortals while hyped up on anima), Archon wounded by Devos (whom we beat) AND Anduin… the Winter Queen and many of her sub-ordinates have faced down threats that’ve wounded and subdued the other Eternal ones and we’re still standing… even got a sick burn off or two. 9.1’s Sylvanas invasion is also the second entire army we’ve run off out of Ardenweald… so who’s the joke covenant now?!?
