Spoilers: Elune’s Identity and more

What the hell, this thread is months old. And it wasn’t even that good of a thread to start.

Necro’ing threads is bad, and you should feel bad.

Because it threatens the essential stability of the universe in a way my courses in physics at Rutgers never demonsrated?

A revived discussion is simply just that. It does not obligate anyone to participate in it.

You should know by now that no-one reads conversations on these forums. let alone the internet :stuck_out_tongue:

See, the thing is…There is also the fact that The Shadowlands are comprised of HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of minor afterlives, aside from the Primary 4. It’s even stated in the lore

Blockquote The Shadowlands are the realm of Death, an infinite plane where the souls of deceased mortals go to be reborn, serve, find peace, do battle, or endure endless torment. The Shadowlands exist on the edge of reality, separated from the physical universe by a barrier known as the Veil, and consist of an infinite number of diverse afterlives sustained by the flow of anima from the recently dead. Mortal souls who cross the Veil between life and death arrive at the Eternal City of Oribos and are judged by the Arbiter, who then assigns them to the afterlife that suits them most, the largest and most significant of which are ruled by a pantheon of Eternal Ones and powerful orders known as covenants, each with its own unique role in maintaining the ecosystem of the afterlife

So, we can’t say for sure that Elune DOESN’T have her own afterlife…just not one that we are seeing for now…

Infinite afterlives is the actual number. The four we see now are just the ones essential to keep the Shadowlands running smoothly.

tbh, only Bastion (ferrying souls to the shadowlands), Maldraxxus (defending the shadowlands) and Revendreth (redeeming sinful souls while also being the main source of producing anima) are essential to the survival of the shadowlands. Ardenweald only really serves to resurrect Wild Gods, which is a means to explain why some Wild Gods like Shadra keep coming back despite dying so many times (vanilla, cata and BFA). This is further aided by the fact that Ardenweald was originally going to be a subzone of Bastion. Which is probably why blizzard put in the thing that “the heart of the forest stops the Jailer from escaping the maw”.

Still not over they decided to explain why Wild Gods + Cenarius come back to life but when it came to Shamanistic Religions (Orcs Trolls Tauren Draenei Dwarves Kul Tirans Vulpera) they were like “who cares screw them it’s fake”

They never said that, it’s just not relevant to the story they wanted to tell in SL.
