(Spoilers) Draka left the channel

Dunno if this already got posted.

Apparently Draka visited another world to steal the Legion map. So Maldraxxus soldiers aren’t confined to the Shadowlands? How do they exit?- the Kyrian literally fly across planes to do it, and need special powers for it. Death seems to keep losing its impact in WoW.

Kind of feels weird, when it’s more or less coming out that people can just leave the Shadowlands, soon we’ll hear how those in Ardenwald and Revendeth can somehow leave depending on the task or position.

Maybe I’d feel better about these things if there was some type of…consequence? for being found outside the shadowlands

Death had an impact in WoW?

Yeah. Yeah, it did. In a faraway, distant time, now known as “Classic”

There probably is. They are a walking hunk of anima if they’re captured anyone could use their power for who knows what.

endless war setup so the game can last forever

Making anima-popsicles.
Animasicles.

At least for Ardenweald, the whole point was that if you’re important enough (Wild God tier), and have somewhere to go back to, you get to leave eventually.

Well, pretty sure this kills the main argument against Shadowlands allied races and characters returning to the mortal world with us. Clearly they do it all the time anyways.

I agree there probably is, which could be why maybe Draka had too dual class as a rogue, but on the other hand all I can think is "Does anyone on azeroth even know what Anima is? and if you do I feel you’d have to be at a certain level of power to actually utilize it or even notice it at all.

That’s true, I guess it’s just one of those moments of “I felt things were fine when just like one section could do it because it was their thing” but now it’s starting to turn out that all of them can lowkey go into the mortal world.

Hmm … well its not the first time something like this has happened. Shamanic Spirit Worship literally depends on being able to interact with Ancestral Spirits. Even if it was due to a temporary weakness, Baine did get to get a little journey with Cairne in the Tauren Heritage Questline. We’ve seen plenty of Trolls drag their way out of from the afterlife in some form or another.

There also seems to be a theme with Maldraxxus that its sort of one of the primary entry points into the Shadowlands. So I suppose if people can enter there, they can exit as well. We also did see one of the House Heads alongside her just before Draka was supposedly in that living world scene.

I agree, more or less. It was fine when Kyrian and their imitations popped in long enough to take a soul to the shadowlands. And when a Nature deity gets reincarnated from Ardenweald.

With the spying thing in particular, if it has to be done, I have to wonder why the Shadowlands would even send a physical body that can turn invisible, over an invisible, incorporeal ghost.

Mogu use it all the time. They seem to use the Blood Anima used by Revendreth and Maldraxxus.

Akunda the Exalted once robbed Akunda’s followers of Memories so removing Memories from Souls is possible too.

Of course Memories and Blood are well known as things that people hold within them so they would naturally be grabbed by researchers. Sin, Virtues, First One Anima and Celestial Anima are not well known as people don’t seem to think that they are physical things.

The Shadowlands provides opportunity for any organization seeking new abilities: Sin(Domination, Pride, Wrath, Avarice, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Doubt and Fear), Stygia(Hatred), Memories, Virtues, Death, Celestial Energies, Blood, First One Anima and Devourer Anima are the known abilities.

Venthyr, Kyrian, Night Fae or Attendants getting caught outside the Shadowlands would give undesirables access to their secrets since they would gain awareness of unique Anima unknown to them distinct from Death(already stolen by the Legion), Blood and Memories!

It’s only the Maw that’s described as inescapable. Most of the plebes however, can’t leave on their own.

It is the job of the armies of Maldraxxus to eliminate threats to the Shadowlands and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Sargeras and Co. had both the means and the ambition to invade and steal its powers.

Oops, Draka snuck in and stole their map and battle plans. I guess that plan’s out the window.

As for the “How did they get outside the Shadowlands?” question, I would guess they can temporarily leave to go on missions and do their job more effectively. Land of the dead or not, the Shadowlands is still its own plane on the WoW cosmology and it doesn’t seem like a far stretch for its denizens to travel places like the Twisting Nether.

If brings back a few characters there will be endless arguments over who they brought back . And you can’t bring back all of them. So it seems like a bad idea to me.

So Blizzard will definitely do it. And do it by bringing back the ones that rub salt in old wounds.

Since entities from the Shadowlands can leave, I suggest we bring back just Uther and Kael’thas. Everyone will be happy with that I think.

you can teleport in and out of the shadowlands, this isn’t any kind of a lore break. necromancers learn how to do this.

kel’thuzad did it to get to the shadowlands, a necromancer in acherus recruited by the ebonblade does it. ebon knights do it to get their steeds, and ebon knights do it in shadowlands to establish a safe means of travel to and from for our forces.

it’s literally just like teleporting to any other plane, like the nether and so on. idk why people seem to think it’s some impossible task.

I think the problem is, a lot of people are OVER thinking things and making things more complicated than they need to be.

I feel that opens a can of worms nobody would want to in universe and out. You bring back Uther and Kael, why not anyone else who died? What makes them more important than x is to y? The afterlife isn’t a revolving door.
