[SPOILERS] Baine rescue cinematic

While I’m familiar with the existence and nuances of polyamory, and maybe some writers at Blizzard are too, that’s not really a viable solution. The monogamy overdrive is supremely strong in American culture and I imagine a big swath of the fandom would just make “side chick” jokes (also tacky racial jokes with a green tint.)

You’re going to quit WoW to play another version of WoW?

Yes.

Already have a name for a Troll Priest and a spot in my guild’s group when we move over to Classic.

New headcanon; when Jaina teleports out at the end of the cinematic, she forgets to take Shaw with her since they weren’t standing next to each other.

In a terrible irony the moment blizz will end the factions will be the most inappropriate time. There is realistically no going back to peace from Teldrassil, yet that is exactly what Blizzard will push for us to unite once and for all? It’s just bad no two ways about it.

The Horde has been warring on the Alliance since we stepped through the Dark Portal. They say fool me thrice… what comes after thrice?

Well, at least you are working with someone opposed it.

The Horde player is expected to look up to someone who personally has caused the the death of Horde civilians, has advocated wars of elimination against the Horde, and who is only different from Sylvanas herself in that she failed in her mass murder attempt.

Opposed it after the fact, after the damage has been done. Saurfang shouldn’t get any sympathy points just because he feels bad that he willingly went along with Sylvanas plan to go to war.

Sadfang and Sad Jaina is the most unambitious crossover in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

They’d do that regardless. So the objective would be to do this, and not be a dingus about it.

Also a JainaxAggraxThrall sitcom would be glorious.

Oh for the love of, more Horde and Alliance hand holding nonsense I didn’t sign up for in an expansion about a faction war I wanted.:rage:

The Horde burnt down a city of elves and Alliance raided a city, killing citizens and murdered their King (NO I don’t give a $^#* if Anduin ordered no civilian casualties. The Dark Irons sure didn’t get that memo). Does that not mean anything to anyone?

2 things in this really infuriate me.

1: Saurfang continuing to kiss Anduin’s &@@. Yes, Thank you Anduin for helping Saurfang pull his head out of his #%@ and giving him permission to leave his cell. Where all I as a Horde player get from him is a BS lecture about choosing between “honor and loyalty”.

2: Thrall jumping conclusions that TB will be sacked. Which makes no sense for Sylvanas to do so since they have nothing to do with Mr. Taurajo-was-a-legitimate-targets escape who got what was coming to him in the first place.

This faction war was off to an excellent start, but Blizz seems hell bent on turning it into a G.I. Jeo cartoon. It’s going to be a miracle if I’m still playing this by 2020 because I have just about reached my limit.

First: Welcome to the party, pal!

Second: It didn’t make sense for Sylvanas to send assassins after Thrall either. But here we are.

I took Thrall calling out her next move as Blizzard setting up the attack or setting up our expectations to be subverted when that attack never comes or is used as a cover/decoy for her true intentions.

Cue dramatic music!

Where would Sylvanas even get the military might to attack TB anyway?
It’s like Blizzard pretends she is some top threat but we never see why.

Between

  • Orc loyalists dying at the Siege of Orgrimmar
  • The destruction of Undercity
  • Tauren, inc. Highmountain on her enemies side
  • The destruction of the Zandalari fleet
  • Lorthemar opposing her
  • General waning support for her in the Horde
  • The Alliance bearing down on her
  • The advantageous position Thunder Bluff is in (elevators can be disabled, Great Gate, Barrens lava chasm)
  • No surprise attack

How the @#$ could she ever siege this mountaintop capital in the heart of Kalimdor? Won’t the Tauren turn the elevator off? I’d sooner believe she can attack Stormwind next patch. At least then we know she can raise some more troops.

Jainas new neutral stancee feels so tremendously forced it is ridiculous she went from “Die horde scum” to “maybe we should work with the horde again

Horde has a clone factory beneath the underhold.

I kinda like the dnd campaign derailed idea. Now all we need is an Old Man Henderson to come and just burn the world for us and steal all our gnomes

Is it weird that my favorite part if the cinematic is Thrall’s new Frostwolfy armor? The last bits of that World Shaman nonsense are being either shoved under the rug where we don’t have to look at them (Aggro) or just plain gone. I like Frostwolfy Thrall.

May Blandrra stay in Nagrand and never leave

I like Frostwolf Thrall too, but I really hope he’s still a world-class shaman since the magic form lacks any rep and making him just another warrior feels boring
