On second thought, it’s not even an either/or situation. Dragons take multiple consorts. Stella can have Valtrois and Kalec.

I liked it. Jaina and Thrall renewing their bond somewhat was touching. Between the Sunreaver dude and Jaina admitting she’s got blood on her hands, that whole incident coming to the fore again was nice. It had been forgotten for way too long.
I think they’re all going to be horribly wrong though. I don’t think Sylvanas gives a single damn about Baine or TB or any of this at the end of the day. When she’s ejected from the Horde to pursue her evil goals elsewhere, I think it’ll be on her own terms, without a faction raid.
Or rather, I want to believe that.

League of Arathor vs defilers will simply keep the same problems they have now cause it will still be alliance versus horde.
Now if you did something like Aldor versus Scryer where an individual player could join either side as long as the various rewards for being on one side was balanced versus the other side you could get a competitive division of the players.

I never said it would be rigidly Horde vs. Alliance mini-factions, just that the scale would be toned down.

God I had a moment like this. When I DM’d and had this moment I literally just went…“you know what, screw you all. my NPC betrays you all and now is the final boss of the campaign.” Looking back, my D&D group got really into the story after that.

Ok so we might be defending Thunder Bluff in a future raid… Maybe this is the subversion? As this supposed raid in/around TB begins, vengeful forces in the Alliance use the infighting to take over another Horde capital or inflict damage. Honor Horde feels betrayed, Alliance now has “morally gray” themes.
I hate all of this. Just start the music for the next round of Musical Warchiefs, or unify this broken lot under our spiritual liege Anduin and be done with it.

The only way I can see that happening is with the Night Elves.
I believe this was retcon and that the “cultists” who killed those Night Elves really were Garrosh loyalists.
If I am wrong, someone please correct me.
So the Alliance really is going to be working with the mastermind behind the invasion of Ashenvale that led directly to Teldrassil? Who wrote this horse crap?

Humans make peace with Horde, deciding this for a entire faction of other races who are supposed to be equals in an actual alliance. Burning of Teldrassil is laid at Sylvanas’ feet despite the Horde apparently supporting her in it as per the quests literally just before this cinematic.
At least the voice acting and visuals are nice…

I figure the Kul Tirans, Worgen, and possibly the Lightforged could be involved as well. Kul Tirans already hated the Horde. Everything done to them in BFA, Brennadam, certainly hasn’t lessened that. Lightforged seem to want to purge. And unless Genn’s softening on the Forsaken is representative of the Worgen wishing to end conflict with the Horde, they might join in.
Actually yeah, wait, didn’t an entire suicide group of night elves, worgen, humans and one of the few Lightforged(and by extension draenei) heroes literally sacrifice themselves last patch to stop the Horde?!
I should have known there’d be a little smack upside the head for draenei in there somewhere…
