Time lapse is a concept shown in shadowlands, according to new book shadows rising, it seems Turalyon will replace Anduin as new high king.
All hail Turalyon!!

Turalyon is appointed regent because Anduin wants to personally attack the hole in the sky.
Personally attacked or he just got sort of kidnapped…disappeared ??
He gets abducted by Sylvanas while he’s going to Northrend. Him, Jaina, Thrall, and Baine get rescued in the opening scenario.
Do we have to?
If you want to play shadowlands yes
As Il’gynoth said :
“The Golden one claims a vacant throne”
“The Crown of light will bring only darkness”
Turalyon will be the Azeroth’s Yrel.
Could see if the old Portal to the main capital to bypass the intro will work in SLs.
He better be.
#bringbackvarian
The second Turalyon gives the order to lightforged you all I’ll be there to support.
The light will save you all.
Yrel will cross the portal next to her faithful right hand exarch garrosh! and also the mother of light will return!
Go go action Willingham.
the mother of light will come to azeroth and along with her the glorious army of the lightbound led by high exarch Yrel and exarch garrosh!
I do not doubt that the blizzard spoils Turalyon to satisfy its relativistic rhetoric and let us see the tyrannical Light (when the will of a Naaru and the aspirations of the Light are different), the misunderstood void (which is unreliable, leads to madness and wants to consume life) and the fel (which corrupts everything that all) that saves, being threaded through our throats again.
Part of the agenda that tries to make the horde (of the forsakens that protect life) look more heroic and the alliance less regal.
Turalyon is a logical choice.
Aside from over a thousand years of martial experience, he’s also displayed a sense of tact that will help him in politics. In the Alliance he, Alleria, Danath, etc… are all legends and heroes, meaning he’ll instantly garner respect. He’s also shown an active interest in pursuing and maintaining peace, but not to the point he’ll force the Alliance to roll over on it’s back for the Horde. He’s the right kind of man to leave in charge.
Pity it’s going to go to hell.
Man I hope so. I want him to go bonkers and attack the Horde and burn down Thunderbluff or something in some righteous fury kinda thing.
Meh, worse option. Turalyon is a light fanatic and will do anything for the light, he can easily be corrupted to do bad things as “told by the light”.
I want to join Turalyon’s crusade.
He may only be a human, but I can live with this. If anything we will final be able to purge the Void Elf abominations form ranks of the Alliance.
