SPOILERS ! Alliance

Good. Maybe the Horde can do their one job and kill him.

Imagine having dogmatic zealot that skipped entire wc3 and WoW leading a faction

Then Calia Menethil swoops in with Alonsus Faol. Reminds Turalyon that she is his former Princess and Alonsus his former mentor. They demand Stormwind be turned over to the Horde.

Calia Menethil will have done what Sylvanas couldn’t do without even shedding a drop of blood.

He came to his senses in the Before the Storm novel. He wanted to kill Alonsus Faol because he was Forsaken risen by dark magic. But then he asked Alonsus to bless him.

Still doesn’t mean he isn’t corrupt to some degree. The way he reacted to Illidan killing Xe’ra like she was justice and all things right, was a bad show of his character.

Imagine if Turalyon killed Elune, regardless of the reason. How do you think Tyrande would react? Probably exactly the same way Turalyon did towards Illidan. Well, Tyrande might actually successfully kill Turalyon, but you get the idea.

His exact response was “You’ve doomed us all!”

As in, he considered Xe’ra to be instrumental in defeating the Legion on Argus. Turns out, he was right, considering that we proceeded to use her fragments as a source of power through the Netherlight Crucible.

I don’t think his reaction to an important leader of the Lightforged being killed is necessarily evidence that he is corrupt.

In the sense that he’s bias to the light being right in anything they do, including forcing Illidan to become lightforged and purified. No means NO, but Xe’ra never got that memo. She’s no better then the void by doing that, imagine how many others have been forced to become lightforged by her and brainwashed. Same with Yrel in Draenor, the light corrupted her and made her a fanatic forcing everyone to join the light or die.

Not that I wouldn’t want that cause it’s alliance turn for some grey actions but it’s so predictable.

Also it seems…alliance will get fractured. Maybe Turalyon will take more extreme path towards light.

Long may he reign!

Eh, Blizzard writing usually is. I’d still love to see it. Toss in some people burning and some hilarious rag doll shenanigans like the Mag’har recruitment quest and I’m in.

The Light Mother, perhaps, but not the Light itself. Xe’ra is the first time we’ve seen a Naaru with such an overbearing behavior. A’dal certainly was never so zealous in his approach to us. Likewise, we don’t know the full story on Draenor. We know that forcing everyone to join or die was not the goal; it was forcing everyone to join. Those who resisted were subdued and Lightbound, unless they got themselves killed in the process. There were also Orcs who thought Yrel and the Light were right in how to save Draenor.

We don’t know enough about what happened in Draenor to judge who was right or wrong. About the most we can do is acknowledge Xe’ra is out there, and considering she tried to forcefully Lightforged Illidan to fulfill an ancient prophecy, she might not be above doing the same thing on a whim.

You mean an alternate draenor Xe’ra? Or are the naaru somehow immortal in the sense of being able to revive?

Xe’ra is Xe’ra whether she’s from the MU or the AU. I don’t see how there would be a big difference from one to the other.

I don’t think we know nearly enough about the Naaru, but I doubt the Xe’ra we knew will revive anytime soon.

With the old gods being retconned, nothing is true anymore. At first they couldn’t be killed except by titans(Sargeras), and we only “put them to sleep” after defeating them, but then got retconned in BFA to perma-dead. So at this point, we don’t know what to believe as far as what can be killed or sealed after defeat.

Spoiler: Wrathion takes the throne, Arthas rises from the maw and rebuilds lordaeron (however it’s spelt), Dragonborn is a new class, Tortollans take over Stormwind

That won’t be happening.

Turalyon was the General of the Alliance of Lordaeron’s forces. He bent a knee to the Menethil family. Calia Menethil is currently in the process of moving through the ranks of the Forsaken.

Unless Turalyon likes to abandon the Menethil family a second time, he won’t attack Calia.
