Turned in weekly quest for Splintered Spark of Shadowflame. Quest consumed the Splintered Spark i had in my inventory and gave me 1. I currently have 1 Full spark and 1 splintered. I did not do the quest last week, so i got one in M+ and turned in the quest and got the one i had removed and gave me a new one. I should have 2. Have a screenshot of the turn-in if needed.

This has also happened to me. On two characters. The quest always consumed 2 splintered (all I had ) including one that was in the bank on one of my characters.
This seems to happen if you have catch up splintered and then go back and do the week 1 quest/weekly. Either the quest always consumes 2 (in my case) or it hard resets all your splintered spark to 2 (which would be correct on week one but not after receiving catch up Sparks)

I have a strong feeling the issue is the latter here, where all your splinters are being consumed and you end up with 2 because that’s what the quest rewards. A similar issue happened with the vibrant wildercloth bartering weekly this week, costing some people hundreds of bolts despite the quest only asking for 75 (see this thread I Need... a Tailor = All Vibrant Wildercloth Bolts consumed).
I have 1 full spark and 1 splintered when i should have 1 full and 2 splintered. hope they patch this as i was really excited to be able to craft my wep this week and now I cannot.
This happened to me…first time going through the new zone and I get 1 splintered spark from a first quest and 2 splintered sparks from a second quest. In my bag, I only have 2 (should have 3).

BUMP. Would like to have a Splintered Spark sent to those impacted. We should have the item we did the work to achieve and this may or may not have very large impacts on some of our progression.
I experienced the same issue.
- Logged on for the first time during the 2nd week.
- Did a M+ dungeon and got a catch-up splinter
- Did the weekly rep quest and got another splinter.
- Turned in the “Power Unified” quest, and it consumed 2 splinters and then returned only 2, so I didn’t actually gain and extra splinter from the quest.
So now i’m a week behind. GM said they couldn’t do anything about it.
Bump and same for my DK alt—turned in the 1500 rep weekly and got a single splinter from that, then turned in the campaign quest that gives you two more, used them, and ended up with a whole spark and zero splinters.
If you submit a support ticket explaining what happened to you they will refund you. It took them about 15 hours to get to my ticket, and they left me a message saying I could have used loot recovery, however they did send me my missing Splintered Spark of Shadowflame.
