This is part of why I think the “Blizz is just being greedy” is a bit silly. They could make so much money putting various things on the shop, yet they aren’t.
The mount was inline with the other 6 month rewards. We shouldn’t have seen another 6 month sub reward for another 3 months. If we see another 3 months from now then that will all but confirm this one was due to blizzcon being cancelled.
Aktson will just tell you to farm more. It’s fun he says. You’ll get there eventually!
Right? His argument is literally “THEY’RE NOT THAT BAD!”
When historically they’re literally slowly going to become that bad based off what they’ve already done…
But you’re not a shareholder…imagine defending shareholders…YIKES.
You mean like when they made more profits than they projected last year and still fired 800 employees?
You don’t even know what you’re talking about, buddy…
Yup, in-game content should stay in the game and not go to the cash shop. That’s what the post is about.
I believe there was a grace period, to what extent I’m not sure.
Exactly what I said. Unfortunate there’s people who have no clue what they’re talking about and just mindlessly defend cooperate shareholders like this guy…yikes.
In-game content is literally any and everything in the game, you’re wrong.
The whole shop is in-game content locked inside itself… ![]()
You must have no clue who the original developers of blizzard were or what the company stood for, or how it became the giant it was. It was built off NOT screwing its customers over.
You really think people would continue playing if all of a sudden they added half of every future amount of mounts to the shop? Half of all future pets to the shop? Half of all future toys to the shop? Half of all future transmogs to the shop?
No, they’re not stupid. They’re doing it slowly and manipulatively. The first one? Make it “free” so nobody complains and there’s not a huge backlash like there was the first time they tried something like this. Then they can just ignore everyone as they put more sets in, just like they did with pets, mounts, and toys.
Didn’t say that.
Didn’t say that either.
Didn’t say it was.
You’re right, you should just skip paying Blizzard. Just pay Blizzard’s shareholders and thank them for allowing us to play WoW.
Right?
Literally the only arguments I’ve seen people pandering to defending Blizzard are
- WoW’s not as bad as other games. (How at all is this a valid reason for them screwing their customers over and becoming worse? How about they just don’t b ecome bad in the first place like they did an built their reputation up as one of the best companies in the industry)
Oh I know, I had rhielle mass report not only my thread, but comments were I literally proved her wrong and were in no way against the rules (they literally got un-flagged) she claims that she didn’t ever do anything like that.
So apparently if you disagree with Rhielle, she has a cult following that will mass report your retorts, WATCH OUT!!

Please don’t pretend to quote me if I never actually said that, because I didn’t. I said it SHOULD be…please learn to read…
I’m not sure that not adding stuff like that is due to lack of being greedy. They might lose money from something like that.
Maybe, but highly doubtful I’d think.
Uh, everything in the cash shop is literally in-game content they’re charging us for…what more proof do you need?
So spend what little time some people may have to have fun and enjoy the game and instead farm gold. I bet you’ve never had a fully geared character because you spend more time farming gold than anything.
but go ahead and keep telling people how they should play the game the way you do…
Congradulations, you’re a super multi-tasker!
Most people definitely DON’T want to do that.
Which is dumb. In-game content should be obtainable via in-game methods that aren’t grinding gold for days to purchase it.
Oh no, he’s trying to tell us how BAD it is! And how GOOD WoW is! WoW’s not HALF as bad as FF! Remember? He’s using that as a defense on why WoW should be able to start becoming as bad as FF LOL.

No I’m not saying that, what I am saying is expectation management. It’s a company, and it’s going to be run like one. Your expectations are that they should give you everything for free and that they shouldn’t make a profit are unrealistic.
What in game quest would it even come from. Some people are just really pushing it with this level of nonsense.
only we pay money for the game. money for the expansions and money every month to play the game.
that entitles us to all in game content being in game. and too many greedy game companies are locking content behind a paywall. and it’s a slippery slope they are on. they say it’s cosmetic items at first. before you know it they will be selling p2w items or forcing us to buy a season pass to get raid loot.
the last i checked the customer is always right and the community in wow wants the cash shop gone and all of those items to be in game quest/raid/pvp rewards.
hell no
I don’t need some mind numbing rote quest to unlock something
already plenty of excessive unavoidable questing in the game
game needs more worthwhile rewards that come with a clean delivery, unsullied by negative feedback like requiring boredom or tedium to finish unlocking them after you paid money for it
No my expectations are that my in game hippo has some decent animations that are of the same quality as these store mounts. That or the game is free to play and I pick what cosmetics are worth my money.
Out of all the gameplay and raids and dungeons and other things this game provides, you’re willing to die on the hill of your hippo animations? Really? You do you then.
Imagine pretending that the harassment was simply disagreeing.
When you come into a thread and say “Quit crying argument about why I hate your opinion here” you’re ALSO harassing while disagreeing. Calling me stupid? That’s harassment. Learn the difference, kiddo.
It’s not just the hippo animations. It’s everything. The hippo is just the most extreme example that’s becoming more frequent. I’ll point out to you the number of mogs we’ve had for the last two tiers. 4 a pop and that’s it. Compare that to any previous expansion. Even wod had more. Less tiers but each tier had more and then they had awesome challenge mode mogs.
By all means though, keep defending poor company behavior.
Again, if out of all the stuff this game provides, a few mount animations and some mogs is what it takes to ruin it for you, then maybe WoW isn’t your game. Those things are a tiny percentage of what this game is all about and that’s the hill you choose to die on.
it was crystal clear you had a number of people harassing you the other night.
its a shame this is what gaming has turned into. at one time everyone was on board with the same idea. games that are bug free that give we the players content up front with great rewards that you would have to be social and work together to get.
now we have people defending greed and harassing those who are calling it out.
Permeant appearances are easily half of why I play this game. I’ve done so many mog runs. Doing the same m+ dungeon or raid for the hundredth time gets mind numbing. Gear comes and goes with every tier. the only permanent thing is mogs. Why do you think blizzard is monetizing it?
Option 1: Millions of dollars from the cash shop
Option 2: 20-30 minute forgettable quest line that won’t do anything to bring in returning customers or extend subscriptions.
Money… make cry babies cry about something else… Money… make cry babies cry about something else… MONEY… make cry babies cry about something else. I dunno, seems like a simple answer to me.
