I am sure this will be an unpopular opinion and get me insults, As a healer and a dps I am so sick of the tanks and some dps just rushing on through dungeons. I don’t think we should go super slow but let people catch up instead of dying just so you can prove that you’re fast and can’t add 2+2 together to figure out why you keep dying. I don’t know what can be done or if anything can but the speeders are ruining dungeon runs and the game in general for many people who actually want to play wow.
You can lay that blame squarely on Blizz’s head!
They promote this idiotic Go go go mentality.!
Honestly, I don’t know what happened. Pacing was great in Cataclysm. Granted, those dungeons felt a little brutal sometimes. Even when I last played during WoD, people didn’t seem to blitz through everything. But now, it’s crazy how people speed through everything, or at least try.
I mean there’s literally a timer for the dungeon…
I still tank the old way. Chain pulling and sometimes grabbing two packs and a patrol at once. Grabbing three packs just seems wrong unless the entire group is kicking butt. Even then I usually just take it smooth n steady. If the healer says to go full throttle, I will see what crazy stuff we can do. Haven’t had any complaints.
It’s because of M+. This is what blizzard wants so it’s how players play now. I miss how it used to be, but it’s never coming back.
Yup this is exactly what I was gonna say. People just dont have patience anymore. Its sucks.
True, I remember back in WotLK where noone ever ran dungeons fast, ever.
make some friends who want to go slower, most of us aren’t interested in hanging out and creeping through a dungeon that we can clear in a few mins with minimal effort.
Pretty much the only thing stopping people from doing dungeons in the way they want to do them…is that they have to be social.
Apparently so many of yall want to do it this way, team up.
Complain WoW is no longer social. But dont want to be social enough to find other like minded people.
I’m with you here, if the group is doing enough DPS you can chain pull and still time a dungeon just fine, even up to and over an M20, there is absolutely no need to pull as big as you can.
Every dungeon ever where the three DPS are doing good enough I have timed, and when you pull less there is less chance of dying, less chances of making mistakes, less chances of being hit by one of the 45 frontals going off, so you have an overall smoother run.
The last time I ran a standard route where the DPS decided I have to pull 12 packs at a time was back in SL in NW, I started with my usual route, pulled the first 2 packs. But I turned around and the hunter had pulled both the other enemies to the left and right.
Get to the boss, the hunter again pulled another pack on top of the boss, and kept doing this, was pulling packs I did not want and buggered my route, and because of them pulling for me, pulling packs I had no intention of pulling we ended up basically clearing the entire first part up to the bridge with multiple wipes.
The next run I did was NW, one key level lower with a new group, no one pulled for me, no one complained, we timed it just fine.
many times the same people who make this claim are the same players on the forum openly admitting to playing solo. lol
I know it’s a culture shock but I promise you eventually figure out the dungeons and get used to it, eventually someone pulling 2 mobs at a time will seem like a boring slog. Just keep trying you will get there.
People think it’s all about them, and in a virtual environment there’s nothing you can do about it.

i tried tellin the group to slow down once, tank told me too calm down…
just cause i asked, does not mean i am mad, i rather just not risk repair bills because you are eager too pull the entire dungeon in your low ilvl.
tank pulls 40 packs because most of the times tank can in fact hold them specially in low level/heroic dungeons.
There is ltierally no reason to not do it if u can do it.
then find people that like to go slow. expecting everyone around you to cater to your needs because you can’t handle it doesn’t work.
If you’re consistently experiencing a mismatch of expectations when you play with other people, that’s not the fault of other people, or even the game itself.
It’s on you to find people who want to play the game at the same level as you do, not on the game to bring everyone to your level.
I personally enjoy difficult dungeons. I enjoyed Cata dungeons pre-nerf. But I don’t think it’s wrong for Blizzard to change the dungeon difficulty as a whole because my opinion was in the minority.
Especially since M+ exists and I can play dungeons with a likeminded group of people who enjoy playing at the same level I do.
