The bottom line is the speed-runners regardless of why they are speed-running, are crying about how they hate doing leveling dungeons. And want to get the dungeon over with in 3 minutes without pause.
Well the only way people are going to circumvent the 1-70 leveling grind is simply to buy a character boost. the character boost process takes about 1 minute and BANG! You are done. How more efficient is that? No joke! Really how more efficient is that?
I’m not saying people should buy character boosts for all the 50+ characters they have in their stable. But once a player decides on a favorite character or two they want to get to max level fast. Then Blizzard has provided the solution.
Quicker means faster xp and levels. The OP asked why and what’s the point. This is the point, plain and simple. WoW hasn’t been about the “leveling experience” for over a decade.
Then. The $60.00 character boost is the solution.
Player A wants to run leveling dungeons fastest way possible. Player A wants to circumvent the long boring dungeon grind to get to max level.
A $60.00 character boost will accomplish this in record time. Well actually instantly.
Player A pays $60.00 and BANG! Max Level.
What’s not to like?
PS: About getting Loot and such. Well once a character gets to max level they can face-roll most leveling dungeons SOLO in minutes.
Normals and Heroics drop terrible gear. No one should be doing them for item rewards.
Now there’s something to consider, that Blizzard is missing the bus on. For a long time now mobile games have been doing this little financial thing that should also please the “I want to get to max level right now!” crowd.
So the solution to getting to max level instantly has been solved with a $60.00 character boost. So the only thing left is high end gear, right?
So how about buying the high end gear at the cash-shop for lets say $100.00 (Blizzard are you listening?) Yes! That is the perfect set-up.
Then you can have your dream right now! No waiting. Go to the cash shop Buy a character boost along with a top end gear package for $160.00 And BANG!!! you are instantly a Top Max Level Player with the best gear in the game. Just imagine how happy that is going to make you!
No more slogging through tedious boring leveling dungeons. No more being forced into slow as molasses turtle mod, oh the agony! No, now you are the elitist rabbit! The magnificent max level, fully geared glowing hero!
M+ should be removed from WoW entirely. PvP can take its place on the vault. M+ is a mini-game that has nothing to do with the Lore. Take it out of Azeroth and make it a mobile game. The poison spread throughout all group content due to the timer and IO scoring is immeasurable.
I cannot recall a single post about hating leveling dungeons; the people who want to speed run them simply do so without complaint. The time those players post about the subject is in defense of the practice in posts like these that try to paint them as villains for doing so. You are being very disingenuous here.
The world is just not this binary; never has been, never was. It’s just another fallacy that has fallen out of the current echo-chamber led internet world we exist in today.
Just because someone wants on aspect of WoW to be efficient doesn’t mean they will make all decisions out of max efficiency, especially when talking about an external cost. Sure, forking out $60 for a boost will save time over leveling, but perhaps I’m not willing or able to shell out that $60 for the boost. I may choose to go the leveling dungeon route over paying $60, that doesn’t mean I won’t still care for the efficiency of being able to complete a leveling dungeon in a few minutes.

Gift me a boost then…. There is no way I’m ever paying real money for a boost never in a million years
You barely have done any end game, no raiding no m+ what are you doing at cap? You call it a grind but there is fun to be had in m+ and raiding. Levelling or the journey hasn’t been the goal for many years now
Yeah, it has been, always. In this world money talks, Bull-**** walks. Those that can afford to bypass/circumvent issues do so. This is not news. Those that can buy a character boost will do so. Those that can’t, wont.
Just like those that can afford a car, drive on. Those that can’t afford a car, don’t and take the bus. Those that can’t afford the bus walk. It’s always been about the rich and poor. The kings and and the peasants.
Gee…I even have heard a rumor that if a person has enough money they can even become ruler of a entire country. Yep the social pyramid.
So I would say, buy character boosts or continue to run leveling dungeons like a bunch of demented gerbils on a treadmill. It is that binary.
Why pay if I can turbo alts in 1 or 2 days pretty casually I’ll spend the 60 on food or other stuff. Plus I want to learn the class at the same time to see if I like it if I don’t and I used a boost it became a dead character
Never said people had to, pay. So you can just continue to hijack other peoples dungeon experience. Who cares, right?
I can’t learn a class if I don’t play it. And I’m not going to baby pull a place I’ve seen 10 thousand times pass get over it. You want slow which is the sliver of a minority go make your own group
So, if you are learning a new class, you definitely should not be pulling the entire dungeon.
I can buy a character boost. I don’t. You are completely off base with your entire diatribe here.
But that’s not even close to the point I was making. You tried to discount a response that the reason players will speed through dungeons is because of efficiency by taking it to the absolute extreme that they should pay for a boost instead because that would be max efficiency. There’s no room in your fantasy world for someone to decide the $60 is better spent elsewhere and they’ll just deal with the leveling in game.
This goes both ways. You do not get to tell a group they should run slow if they want to run fast, yet that’s exactly what you are wanting to do.
The solution here, and has been present all along, is stop trying to force strangers to play the way you want to play. Find a community of players who want to play the way you want to play.
The way scaling works and how face roll it is I can get away with it there is no reason to go slow. Nothing is worse than being behind a slow person in the fast lane I want to be the guy going fast in the fast lane
And you don’t get to hijack the run by charging ahead of everyone else and pull the entire dungeon.
Deal with it /gif what are you going to do boot the alt or our main queuing ? I’ll just go run m+ lmao. If you want slow make a slow group fast is the majority
Yo…hold up there partner, who told you there was a fast lane? I never have seen a sign in the leveling dungeons that designate a fast lane?
