Impatient children who have no consideration for other players is the answer.
Go Speed-racer…
Go Speed-racer…
Go Speed-racer…
Go Speed-racer GO-oh!
There are a scant few players that insist that tanks take far longer than required to run a dungeon at the slowest speed possible. It is likely they just enjoy gawking at the scenery. They want the tank to slow down or stop, even though the healers literally have nothing to do because the same speed tank kills everything before they have a chance to hurt anyone. These players just want the run to last an hour and drag it out as long as possible!
I have to ask: what’s the point? Why bother slowing down the run needlessly? Why don’t they just go and play Monopoly instead if they want to be stuck doing the same thing all day long?
The better question would probably be, why do you bother playing WoW? No one wants to mark packs and take cigarette breaks in the middle of dungeons anymore, hasn’t been like that for a very long time.
to get to engaging content. (M+ or raids.)
I ask the same about most of your posts.
Also, Wulfposting.

I wonder why you always feel the need to make your responses to my threads of a direct personal nature?
Moreso they dislike playing the game at the lowest levels of difficulty so they go faster, take on more difficulty, and enjoy the activity more.
Would you prefer me to be indirect and impersonal?
I like the whole persona of “I am gonna ask some loaded questions based on assumptions, but then pretend to be offended when others make assumptions or call out my pattern of doing this”
To get from A to B as fast as possible.
Really? That’s a legit question? Perhaps they enjoy it that way, perhaps getting it over with allows them to go on to bigger things, faster.
Because they want to play WoW?
I don’t think this is true, in this thread, you wanted to post AN opinion, yours.
Not wrong.
To be perfectly honest, the “speedrunning” is mostly (but certainly not limited to) leveling content or “fill the vault” content. Both of which are usually “been there, done that a million times” content.
They are probably trying to get toons to max level to play the content they enjoy more, and/or just doing the “daily chores” to get that vault filled to get the gear they desire.
In real life, when driving to work for the 240th time this year, do you insist on taking the slowest route to work? When mowing your lawn, do you think “if I go half the speed, I can make this take twice as long!”. It’s human nature to take short cuts and speed things up… we go to work because we like getting paid, we mow the lawn cuz we like how it looks afterwards… we run the dungeons because we want what we get after completing them… this doesn’t mean we want to take hours doing the same thing, we’re all just knocking them out quickly to get what we want…
It’s called “Human Nature”.
Nope.
BC rep runs started it all.
Want your tank to have that rep shield upgrade to be able to tank the Gruul fight, well off to Arcatraz with you!
After run # 148 you’re fit to be tied, so anything that gets you outta that dungeon even a second quicker is getting done.
I know this, because I did it.
If you want non-speed run dungeons, FF14 is right over there
Or join a new-player guild/find pals.
For the record, I let new tanks take their time and will even tell others to chill out.
because it’s fun. i enjoy going fast and being challenged.
You’re honestly less likely (on most servers) to find patient folks in FFXIV duties than WoW dungeons.
Wall to wall is the standard for FFXIV.
Wall to wall depends on the tank and healer. Even then it’s not start of the dungeon “wall” to end of the dungeon “wall”.
Literally only because there are stop gaps preventing it. You can see the disparity in real time with pre-HW duties.
I main GNB. It feels like a total waste to do anything but w2w. I want to make use of my mit.
That’s because FF has literal invisible walls to prevent you from doing that, you would go faster if the game physically allowed it. FF pulling is literal wall to wall.
