Speculations on the last titan?

We already got a good idea what the first two expansions of this saga are gonna entail, ive been thinking in this final piece of the saga azeroth is going to wake up, planets going to explode and we will migrate to another planet where the horde and alliance will reemerge new capital cities and well, basically “restart” WoW? Or some wack stuff is going to happen with chromie per usual where maybe we jump back in time and have to rewrite certain events from happening? While playing through old but renewed zones? Anyone have any good thoughts or ideas what to maybe expect?

I’m not convinced Last Titan refers to Azeroth, but it might. I doubt the world blows up, whatever the case.

You’re there staring down the last boss, Azeroth herself, you must cleanse the corruption and ensure she is able to spring to life as the Last Titan. You’re battling, you’re swinging swords, casting spells, doing your thing. You dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge. The health bar gets to 0 and the cinematic enters, the whole world starts to shake. Your character looks left and right, unsure what is happening as the room you’re in starts collapsing. The camera pans out, the world itself is breaking apart as a titan begins to form, arms and legs forming and spreading out. It zooms back in as the ground cracks and you begin to fall into the void as an outro begins before it goes black, and then silent.

You wait, wondering if your game crashed, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, then it comes back into focus. Its a rusty red canyon and blue sky. Soon you start to slowly hear, “Long ago, the Orcish Horde was corrupted by the Burning Legion…” It comes back into focus and there you are, a lv 1 orc warrior all over again in the Valley of Trials. Your character slowly stands, bandages around their head, holding themselves up against a wall in The Den. Kaltunk approaches you and helps you stand, “How is your head? You took a nasty beating out there. You tossed and turned in your sleep, shouting about the strangest dreams. The Burning Legion stabbing the planet? Grom’s son leading the Horde to ruin? Lava Eel Vore? I do not wish you kink shame, but I believe you should see a shaman about these… desires. But, time is short and there are cacti apples to harvest. Come on, get to. The Horde waits for no one…”

Azeroth wakes up, bleary eyed, hits the Snooze on her alarm, rolls back over, farts in her sleep, then mumbles something about a cosmos divided.

We abort azeroth just like they had to do in eternals

seems obvious that if the coreway goes to azeroth we will return to it at the end of the saga
maybe its the last raid or a zone in last titan

also we will likely deal with nerubians again.
last titan goes to northrend. obvious choices for content are Ulduar which is one of the biggest titan facilities we know and azol nerub or whatever its called, which is basically the nerubian capital of the world.

I’m pretty sure all of Northrend except the two landing zones are Titan facilities or sitting on top of them.

Just to be clear, I’m all for some kind of shakeup that is effectively a new world to explore. I’m just not sure they’ve got the guts to try something that risky. Armswiping basically the entire setting off the table to start again would be nuts.

Since a lot of the multi-word expansion names are clever word play, I wonder if the Last Titan would refer to a previous titan. The last one to hatch from an egg planet?

I was fully prepared to read a “Hey, you! You are finally awake!”

I considered it

possible if the player is azeroths champion
azeroths awakening = the players awakening
the game so far is the dream

It will be found boosting a Gemini spacecraft into orbit.

We spread the curse of flesh to the Titans, and Eonar is the competent woman who doesn’t get taken seriously by Aman’Thul and replaces him when his incompetent buffoonery goes too far.

The boring likelihood is it’s gonna be Azeroth. The cool and interesting idea is that it will be Sargeras. He actually is the last titan since he yeet stormed the others, and I think it would bed awesome if the titan of Azeroth was found to be the villain. Sargeras plunging his dwarven hand canon into Azeroth because he knew this. And him and Illidan teaming up with us to get the job done.

I’m not sure how they can wrap things up satisfactorily. Essentially, everything that has ever happened in the wacraft universe is a result of the cosmic forces fighting over converting Azeroth to their side. To finish that arc is kind of the end of warcraft as we know it. There’s a lot to do in terms of exploring the other cosmic realms and learning about the Life Lords, Arcane Lords, Fel Lords, etc, but less motivation to deal with it if they’re neutered by saving Azeroth from them.

This Prime worldsoul thing throws a wrench in a lot, though. It’s hard to predict the future now.

Is it a crackpot theory that world souls are blank canvas’ that can be pushed towards one of the cosmic forces?

Like if death influenced a world soul it’d become an Eternal one, if the void corrupted one it’d become a Void Lord, if arcane was exposed to one it’d become a Titan, etc

Nah, its been a running theory among the fandom for awhile, especially after the argus debacle

That seems to be the direction things are heading. Void “corruption” was always on the menu, so at least there’s precedent for it being the case.

Argus raises a lot of questions there. He was pumped full of death magic by the Nathrezim and went to the Shadowlands when we killed him. He was very clearly a Titan when we fought him, though. If we’re basing it entirely on things we’ve personally witnessed, Sargeras was originally a Titan and became Fel corrupted and Argus was originally a Titan and became Death corrupted. We know Sargeras destroyed a planet that contained a Void corrupted Worldsoul. We know the Titans are meddling heavily in Azeroth’s development.

I would say that Worldsouls are always Titans, given the above. Azeroth might be something altogether different, but we’ll see.

I reckon its just an order of events kinda thing, world souls can become anything but once they become a titan from arcane they can still be dyed in another force
