I see that Pagle is full while Bene is high. When the population drops to a certain level, it triggers mass exodus. I don’t want to mass transfer anymore, I need to pick my final realm. Will it survive the end of Cataclysm?
I went from Fairbanks to Whitemane, to Benediction. That’s a lot of $ spent L:(
Them Bene boys ™ will be around for a while, they take the WoW pvp srs.
Given the past month, you wouldn’t have to shell cash to transfer because they’d lock the realm and offer free transfers out.
Doomposting and speculation also kills servers. Pagle wasn’t always “full” and for a long long time it was just “High” but even at high you could still find a group for just about anything at any given time of day. We got a lot of people transfering here from the free transfers because not everyone wants to play on a pvp server, even if its a fake one.
Pagle has gone through phases of being “Full” then “High” then back to “Full” and high again.
Just find a group of people you enjoy playing with and suddenly you will find that it doesn’t matter how many are on the server with you.
Benediction should be fine unless Cata really tanks and I don’t think it will.
Blizzard did something to increase the server caps a lot after saying they wanted to end the age of mega servers… so much backtracking and corporate speak. Anyway, now Full and High and Medium don’t mean the same thing anymore.
I remember when ally players were going on about how Pagle was going to die and they just HAD TO get on Benediction. Then they sat in 3 hour early Wrath queues on Benediction and whined about that while the Pagle people played the game. These are the same people who will do it again. Some people are never truly happy with what they have and so they will spend their lives pointlessly running after things and thinking the “grass is greener” elsewhere even though it’s not.
Fairbanks was high, Whitemane was full. Both are dead.

Whitemane isn’t dead, it’s horde-dominated.
RIP Fairbanks though.
Staying on Benediction at this point costs you nothing, but if you’re the type of person to rack up a $50,000 car loan and $35,000 in credit card debt chasing the latest thing well… go to Pagle then. No one here can tell you what to spend your money on. It sounds like you want permission and you want someone to tell you that Bene is going to die so you can justify moving.
