Literally having to use my cell phone hot spot to play the game now because spectrum…the king of garbage internet providers…is going down like 5+ minutes at a time 20-40 times a day (and thats just what Im noticing…who knows if its more when Im away from the PC).

Yeah, this was pretty common even before they were called Spectrum.
They’re pretty famous for over-provisioning hubs and just hoping everyone doesn’t use all of their bandwidth at the same times.
I have terrible service with spectrum but not a lot of other choices where I live.

I use a service called Mediacom now (not sure where it’s at fully but It’s all over central USA) anyway, GIG internet is $59.99 - I think I’ve had 1 outage in 10 months.
Yeah I’m going to have to finally change providers because I can’t take this crap anymore. The game ends up logging me out so many times during the day and it’s happened like four times just this morning on the new island there. Right in the middle of combat and I get logged out. And it’s not the game it’s my internet because I can’t get to any websites either when it happens
I love it when they try to blame my router because even when my router has been brand new they’ll try to say that it’s the router screwing it up.
Oddly that same router works perfectly for a few months whenever they get there crap together so apparently my router sporadically decides to do crazy crap. And the best part is I’ve had three or four routers during this time that this has been going on and they all seem to be doing exactly the same thing according to spectrum LMAO
I literally traced the problem directly to one of their servers one day and gave them the server IP address so they can check it out.
The spectrum representative started yelling at me and ended up hanging up the phone on me lol.
they know it’s on their end and they hate it when you actually can call them out on it LOL with specific information
i have spectrum and i have no issues.
Good for you. Lol. Do a Google search for spectrum sucks or even go over to YouTube and search it. I’m not the only one having this problem

I’ve been happy with my Metro PCS wifi internet for just 50 bucks a month. No hard lines and I often have 2+ devices going at once.
Dont worry friend. Once the government completly takes over, controls, monitors and regulates the internet (for our safety of course) things will become much worse. Oh wait. I mean do worry. But hey, at least ticktity toc will get banned 
Not saying its definitely whats happening, but how old is your modem (esp if you use theirs)? I have my own router, but i use their modem. This started happening to me a few years ago - disconnecting every 2-30 minutes all the time. Had numerous phone calls with them about it. It turned out to be the modem dying, and a new one completely fixed it.
Their equipment isnt made to last, so it only lasts a few years. If you’re using your own, i think most dedicated brands will last a lot longer, but every modem wears out eventually.

Agree! They are awful. I have had nothing but problems(including losing connection when taking an exam). Their CS is the worst.

it did the exact same thing with the previous routers. Works great for a while. Then this crap. Then I look around the web and hear a lot of complaints about the same exact thing…internet going down multiple times a day.

I had roadrunner previously…and they were bad enough…but once spectrum took over its gone to complete trash.
If the cycle continues, itll be weeks or even months before it starts working consistently again.
lord. My daughter took her college courses online (same degree as the son has, but he went to the school in person).
yeah…she’d have to take some exam or something at an exact time and guess what would be screwing up right then? lol.
luckily she managed to get it done.

I’m with Spectrum I feel your pain, in my last house my internet would go out every afternoon when it got hot.
I told them it was likely a loose connection, they said it was not.
Over a year later my neighbor had same issue and made a big enough fuss that someone actually came out and checked our box at the pole outside.
Low and behold the connections were loose, whoever installed was lazy and we’d suffered over a year for it.
As compensation I got given a complimentary phone line to use for 12 months, big joke but I have limited options sadly.
They have been “ok” in recent years for me but back in Burning Crusade era I had so many problems with their service in the evenings. Their customer service would tell me it was the wires at the pole expanding amd contracting with the weather lol.

I guess they dont know that we can do trace routes and find the exact server causing the problem…that or they think we’re all too stupid to know how lol
