There’s an infestation of DK Gnomes, scurrying around Hellfire Peninsula, spamming group invites. It has become madness! For some reason, when I right click their names, reporting isn’t an option. So far, I have over thirty names on my ignore list, all of them from Lightbringer, Proudmoore, Tichondrius.
This area is no longer fun to level through. Any suggestions on what I can do?

There’s an extremely high probability that one or more of your addons is interfering with the right-click report functionality. Try resetting your UI.

i just had the same thing in hellfire… i logged of because it was insane having windows blocking my screen every few seconds
mostly seemed to be coming from Tich.
When one of these players invites you, right-click their name in chat, and click “Ignore”. They won’t be able to invite you any longer.

I think the default UI has an option to block invites? Don’t remember. Failing that, install the Decliner add-on and it will do it for you.

Nope. Block trades, guild invites, chat channel invites. Not to block group invites.
Just out of curiosity - why are they doing that? Why are groups of DKs of one race in the one area trying to get people to join groups?
I do believe, and somebody will correct me if I am wrong here, but you can (assuming your UI is working proper and you can right click) right click report them for spam.
If I am incorrect here, somebody will correct me
It’s a good question Masta! I don’t think I’ve seen this sort of thing on the forums before, so I’m not sure if there’s a ‘good’ way to report this. In fact, I’m not too sure if it is even against the rules. Annoying, absolutely! A jerk move, no question!
I think that putting them on ignore is likely the best option and then if they try to circumvent the ignore, perhaps a ticket for ongoing harassment. Again, not too sure since this is something new, so I’m just adding my 5 cents.

No one has reported actually accepting the invitation. I know before restrictions were added over low-levels joining raids that gold sellers used to try and invite players into a raid to “sell” their services/gold. It was a way to try and get their scams out of public channels so they couldn’t get reported as often/easily.

Unfortunately that didn’t work. I even logged on and off a few times but it didn’t take.
I’ve since updated the few addons I use, and now have to reconfigure them on seven different toons. Ugh.
On a positive note, I was delighted to see the BfA cinematic play. Having a 55" LED TV as my monitor, it’s always a thrill watching Blizzard’s cinematics.

I experienced the same thing in Zangar, but it was from Stormrage DK Gnomes. I actually accepted the first one, as the inviting player seemed to be working on the same quests I was. But then I realized they weren’t really coordinating with me, so I dropped. I was bombarded by invites the rest of my time leveling there. Even when declining they re-invited right away. I was able to ignore them, though.
It could be people trying to power level and looking for someone to party sync with to increase the speed and easiness of it. I have heard others talk about how quickly you can powerlevel in starter zones if you are party synced with someone at that level range.
Yep, been doing that for three days. I now have a list of over forty ignored names, but they keep coming.
Your ignore feature will get filled up pretty soon. I might suggest using the addon suggested by Trustlvlfour yesterday called Decliner.
I checked it out on the Twitch app (and on the Curseforge website) and it looks like it’s exactly the sort of thing that will block this stuff too (without having to add them to your ignore list.

Or Blizzard could simply do what I and many others have been asking for, for years now.
A true account-wide ignore. If they can tinker with the AH numerous times, surely they can work on a real quality-of-life issue like Ignore.
That won’t really help for the main reason this isn’t one person doing all of this. That and the ignore list is very limited.
Thank you, I’ll look into that add on.

I don’t really know how to go about reporting such a large number of gnome DK’s, but they are very obviously bots. I was in Archerus yesterday and there were so many of them, running identical paths, stopping on the same unworthy initiate and just waiting for it to respawn to finish the quest instead of going for any of the other available ones.
Also endless spam group invites.
I looked at the guilds these gnomes are in, and it’s just tons of DK’s in their 60’s and a whole lot of 104 DH’s.

You’ll want to remove the links as calling out a guild or other players is against the rules.
You simply right-click and report them for cheating in-game if you think they’re botting.
