Should Blizzard make a spacecraft game? Maybe not Starcraft (Maybe they should) but a new MMO that is sci fi genre. Would be nice to see a Wildstar rez or similar.

I’ll first admit I’ve only played a minute or two of Starcraft and have no idea what Wildstar is, but with that said I’ve often day dreamed about a futuristic or sci fi type game but like WoW.
Laser guns that fire different things and have different abilities, hover vehicles like bikes, cars, boards, jet packs, all kinds customizable vehicles etc. All kinds of different, fun, weird transmog that would be seen in futuristic movies and tv shows. I personally would like them to expand on character movements, animations and weapon usage as well, like if the character is using some kind of futuristic stave that they would hold it out in front of them or slam it on the ground, or if a character is using a polearm with double ended electricified tips they’d swing it around like a ninja turtle, lol.
Anyway, I’m sure we all have lots of ideas, those were just a few off the top of my head. I don’t see Blizzard moving away from the way wow is now and I think the closest we’ll get to the future is our current mech/steampunk type style, which if I’m honest, I love and hope we get MORE of, including transmog, mounts and hunter pets at some point.

We already have spaceships and have gone to space and flown through it to other planets on them in WoW. Therefore I do surmise WoW is a space mmorpg.

So you want a totally new game not related to WoW based in space. I don’t see that ever happening there is little interest in mmo’s as it is and they struggle to run just this one. Likelihood of it happening while interesting is very very low, probably 1% chance.
Hello, I’m an alien soldier from the space-army. I fly my mech-suit around and order orbital strikes. I spend my downtime on our orbital battle station far above the planet surface.

StarCraft is basically a dead IP at this point.
And Overwatch was taken out behind the barn, and shot.
Overwatch 2 is the zombified remains, losing out to Marvel Rivals.
I’d look to other companies to do it, not Blizzard.

I feel like the genre is already saturated.
I loved Wildstar. I remember playing the beta for that because I liked it so much. Sadly, the mindset was not favorable and led to the downfall of its lifespan. I love WoW, but I’m still trying to find a side game to capture that same feeling that game had too.

Yes! Luckily Undermine is kind of close to that theming. They just need to make it a bit darker and add more smog and neon lights.
